TDS week of 5/8

When they showed GWB spouting the same words 19 months ago that he used about the current CIA-head-choice, I lost it. Couldn’t he think of some other version of the same sentiment?

And he said “dingleberries”.

I didn’t see Monday’s episode, but I’m gonna bump this.

I did see the show last week with Robin Williams, promoting RV (the movie, which looks like crap). When did Williams stop being funny? David Spade showed clips of Williams doing the same schtick on several different shows. It was kinda sad.

That was funny. It leaves you wondering what he thinks of Goss and Hayden, or maybe whether his speechwriters are fatigued.

I haven’t had much use for his jokes since Good Morning, Vietnam. I’ve liked some of his serious roles since then, though.

That Fox “un-vestigative” report on Rummy was a remarkable piece of brownnosing. They did a good job tearing into that one.

I spontaneously applauded despite sitting by myself on the couch in my basement.

People was uncharacteristically snarky about him, while reviewing RV which they didn’t like. They referred to his “homeboy” routine which has “calcified after ten years on talk show couches”.

Oh snap!

As Snooooopy said, I like him fine when he tones it way down for things like Good Will Hunting but I have never like his manic shtick.

I’m getting used to the sound of my own lone laughter when things like that happen!

Brian Williams and the NBC Evening news showed the two clips on their Tuesday show. I turned to my wife and said “NBC is now watching TDS to get their news”, but Brian Williams actually credited TDS for putting those two clips together.

Whoa. For some reason that feels really surreal, like two alternate universes colliding. Although I think I remember Brian Williams being pretty funny on TDS.
