I use a litre measuring jug to make my tea in, I have between 1-4 of those a day…
I drink about 6-8 cups at work every day.
My drawer stash includes:
Jade Green Tea
Peach Black Tea
Egyptian Licorice Tea
English Breakfast Tea
Orange Spice Tea
Raspberry Zinger Tea
GingkoSharp Wellness Tea
Passion Herbal Infusion Tea
Earl Grey Tea
I like tea.
I love tea but am usually to lazy to make/drink it. I have been known to have 3-4 cups a day, though: English Breakfast (yum) and currently my favourite is Rooibos of some kind, which has no caffeine and tastes like dirt, only really tasty. Once I find a good supplier I’ll be back up to 3-4 a day, I’m sure.
Tea is fine when I’m out of coffee, but otherwise it’s a rarity. And I like tea, it’s just that I don’t think about it that often, and there’s less of a caffeine kick than coffee.
I don’t generally drink hot tea in the summer, but I drink cold decaf in the evenings–usually several glasses, equivalent to about 4-5 cups. In the winter, I drink 2-3 cups of hot tea during the day. I would estimate an average consumption of about 5 cups/day.
I constantly drink iced tea. I don’t drink soda, and I don’t drink water, so about any time I am thirsty I reach for iced tea.
I make a pitcher every two days at home.
I meant, “even in summer”, but my brain disconnected.
If I’m at home all day at my computer doing uni work, or studying, I’ll usually end up drinking around 5-6 cups a day.
Hot tea, that is!
Otherwise I have one with breakfast and one after dinner. And maybe one at work.
Well, I never figured it out cupwise but I drink about four gallons of iced tea a week, it’s my main beverage. Hot tea-it depends. In cold weather I drink around three pots a week total, sometimes I brew by the cup. Every month I visit the tearoom at least once. It’s such a nice break from daily cares.
At least two cups a day. Ceylon in the morning with my breakfast bagel or raisin bread (there’s something about Ceylon and cream cheese . . . mmmm), and in the afternoon, depending on how much of a caffeine boost I’m looking for, some Darjeeling, or a couple cups of green or white, or some rooibos (which is not actually tea, of course, but tasty nonetheless.)
Normally I just drink water and my wife is a Dr Pepper fiend, so tea drinking in my house is sporadic. Once in a while I’ll brew up a big batch and fill a gallon jug. It lasts about two days in the fridge, and then we won’t think about it again for about a month.
I don’t drink much tea in a normal day. I like tea, but to me it fits with a chat with a friend or two at the kitchen table, or in a comfy chair with a good book and a soft cat. If it’s winter, a fire in the fireplace. Ahhhhh.
Most days I drink three pots of tea. From each pot I get three cuppas. I don’t drink coffee or carbonated drinks, so I tend to OD on tea instead. I usually drink my tea very strong with milk, but in my pantry I also have some wonderful flavoured teas which I enjoy from time to time:
Vanilla
Ginseng and lime
Blackcurrant
Cranberry, raspberry and strawberry
Lemmongrass and ginger
Lemon soother
Camomile
Peppermint
Cinnamon and apple
Peach and passionfruit
Raspbery and peach.
Tea is just about the only liquid I consume. I drink iced tea all day long, winter and summer.
I had iced tea with both breakfast and lunch today…whenever I have a choice between tea and coffee I pick tea. Being American, I take my tea with only sugar, no milk.
This summer my iced tea consumption is way up 'cause I finally figured out how to make it properly. I’m ashamed it’s taken me so long to learn, but now I’m making up for lost time.
I’ve got all sorts of hot tea makings, from traditional stuff like Earl Grey to the Ministry of Tea’s Lemon Chamomile (yum). For whatever reason, hot tea is a winter drink, coffee is year round in my mind.
Cowgirl, you might try Trader Joe’s for your Rooibos tea. I found some there, way down on the bottom shelf in the tea section of my local store.
My average tea consumption is probably in the 2-3 cups per day range (talking about the hot variety here). My wife however is a real tea fiend who generally drinks around 10 cups per day.
I drink close to a gallon a day of the iced variety.
During cold weather, when I drink it hot this amount probly drops by half at least.
Two small pots (four 8-oz. cops) of Assam tea so far today. I’ll probably have some Darjeeling after work.
Mmmm tea. I go though phases. I’ll not drink it for months and months and then I’ll drink nothing but for weeks and weeks.
Nothing like a lovely Darjeeling, tho’ tisanes are nice too. Especially when the stomach is feeling a bit uppity.
