Any teacher here understands how busy our christmas season is. Any music teacher understands as well! I have survived 15 concerts that I led, participated in, or assisted at in the last 30 days. My mind has been consumed by school! Freedom is here! Beautiful beautiful freedom!!!

I have a friend who is a music teacher and I know that sheβs exhausted after the end of term concerts. Sheβs keenly anticipating the last day of school today and the six week break.
Hallelujah. Three sweet weeks of freedom before I have to plunge back into the world of mind-numbingly terrible student essays. Iβm tempted to burn all the final papers I received last week. It would be SO cathartic.
Six weeks??
Three weeks??
Iβll be happy with my paltry 2 weeks
Itβs the Christmas/summer long holiday break.
Fifteen? Bloody hell! I think I had seven. Although the last of them was a three-and-a-half hour epic  (how can making six hundred people bored be a good thing, or a good example to the kids of how to put on a performance?)
But you know what I was thinking of yesterday? Getting all my preparation & planning done before the 25th, so Iβve still got 12 days in which to do absolutely bugger all. Am I mad?
AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Vacation is heeeeere! And I just bought my bus ticket to Istanbul! Fabulous Turkish vacation, here I come!
