Techchic apreciation thread.

Thanks for helping PB with her computer problems, when I wasn’t able to (she probably got it fixed faster with your help, than mine).

Lifts glass

Salute

empties glass and throws it in fireplace

damn

  1. it’s a plastic glass…2) I don’t have a fireplace!

I think you’re pretty darn cool, teckchick. And I hope you feel ready to come back soon.

There are things in life that you just tend to take for granted. This is my computer. It’s just a machine arranged on a desk, but to be able to turn it on and tune into the writings of Wally and so many of the rest of you, quickly became a part of my life. I don’t post a lot, but I do read and laugh and relate. I have never turned on my computer and cried, like I did when I read the thread about Wally passing. I cried again the first time I saw the banner. It is absolutely incredible and so necessary to the mental state of the people (yes… real people) that come here. I am in awe of Techchicks abilities, and so grateful that she would take the time to do this. I hope she doesn’t stay gone long.

I have nothing to add to all of the wonderful sentiments already expressed here by others far more eloquent than I. Liz, you are a vital part of this community, and it would be a far, far poorer place without your presence, and all of your invaluable help. This amazing banner is a wonderful testamony to our beloved Wally, and we have it thanks to you, Liz.

Thank you, my friend. {{{{{{Liz}}}}}}
We need you here, and the vast majority of us are smart enough to recognize that fact.

Well, I appreciate you and I’m really the only one that counts. (did I say that out loud? :))

Seriously, like I said in the other thread, you are wonderful and talented and generous to a fault. I couldn’t even begin to know how to make a banner, much less a beautiful one like that. And, the fact that you took time out of your life when it was already so hectic just proves that.

Thank you all for replying. Liz is down in the dumps right now, and it’s up to us, her friends, to lift her up. On a completely unrelated note, Kelli, you said:

Liz dosen’t like seafood. I, being a native Batimoron who spent my childhood summers in Maine, love it. Could I come instead? ;)<drool>

Techchick, you rule! Nuff said.

Tech, you KNOW I love you. Who else would let you ramble on when we were on the phone? ducking JUST KIDDING!!!

You rock, woman. Don’t let anyone tell ya different.

I know Techie doesn’t know me from Adam, but I’ve read a lot of her posts, and I have come to one conclusion … This woman must be mine! I have rarely met any woman so whole and so real (and the few I have usually get restraining orders).

So, techie, you’re the best. Take a break, it’s never a bad thing, but come back. Otherwise my well-planned seduction will never come to fruition.

V.

Techchick, thanks for hanging out with us and making the board a nice place.

You’re very much appreciated here, and I thought you should know that.

techchick, don’t let something like this get you down. it’s not worth it. What was that bout the worst revenge is being happy? (or something to that effect) Be happy and you’ll make the rest of us happy.

BTW, I am using a pretty jurassic computer and have not noticed any difference or problem. I mean, come on, most internet pages today are loaded with many more graphics and stuff. This board is nothing compared to others. The mouse is happy too. No problems.

PS. I would post this in the pit but I have never posted there and I feel I am not quite redy to lose my virtue yet

Tech - I know you’re in the pits right now, but don’t lose sight of the tremendous support you have here. Recharge your batteries and come back soon.

You appear to be suffering from a common affliction among the good and kind people of the world. Take a break, and come back whenever you’re ready. We’ll all be here. Take care.

You’re one of the forces pushing the world towards betterment and general nicification as well as decreasing the ignorance quotient around these parts.

::looks around for appropriate toast glass to raise::

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR

Zette

I too, raise a glass in toast to Techchic (Sadly, it is a non-alcoholic beverage, but I’m still underage). I must congratulate the work you put into doing this, and the wonderful job it turned out to be…thank you!

Well, Carmen Electra is good looking, no argument there. But Pamela Anderson? Come on. And the next guy who tells me that Angelina Jo–

Huh?

Techchick? What issue of PlayDope was she in? Or was she in one of those Engineers Magazines, you know, on the hood of a UNIX server with merely a bikini on?

I don’t know where to take this joke from here. I’m gonna get some inspiration (read: beer from fridge) and when I return, Techchick will have responded to this thread. She’d better. She’s in for a serious spanking if she doesn’t report for duty

Techie comes to Canada!!!

WOOHOO!!!

I have it all planned out…

Kelli can have you on days that do not end in the letter ‘y’. Well OK she can visit…

Kels, you can pick up the seafood right? I’ll start making that marinade for steak…I have the garage stocked with plenty of liquor.
I’ll call in and take a few days off… no problem!!!
Am I forgetting anything… I need to make a list… I am SOOOOOoooo excited!!
When are you coming??? huh??? :):):):):):)
