Cruz and Fiorina. Reminds me of the Munsters or Adams family.
It’s really a moot point at this stage, but that choice might be even worse than McCain’s in 2008. At least Palin was an unknown quantity in '08. Fiorina has already proven how truly horrible she is on the campaign trail.
From Ted’s point of view, she’s a true anti-choicer so that’s in her favor. She also is about as big a liar as he is.
Should be “… golden parachuted to safety as it sank”, but yeah.
I don’t really understand this pick. Is it to attract the women voters who are on the fence between Clinton and Cruz - you know, all four of them? Is this Cruz’s move to the center, by nominating a female (oooh! daring!) who is secretly just as batshit righty as he is? Does he think billions of $ilicon Valley dollars are going to come pouring in his coffers now that he’s co-opted one of their own? Maybe they’re going at each other… who knows?
Any chance Cruz had to win my vote in the general election he just pissed away. I will not have that utter failure anywhere near the Presidency(referring to Fiorina).
I never understood why Fiorina even ran for president. But her pointless campaign for the presidency was more explicable than this. She at least had the excuse of being blinded by her own vanity.
Ted Cruz and Carly Fiorina would run this country into the ground faster and with much more devastating impact than Bush & Cheney ever dreamed of. A bible-thumping undertaker and H1B loving moron. What a combination!
I’m pretty sure it’s much more of a short term plan, because if Cruz doesn’t prevent Trump from getting enough delegates he won’t make it to November. Fiorina did win her primary for Senate in 2010, but I’m having trouble finding out by how much. She then lost the general 42 to 52%.
I’m sure he does also have the long term plan in mind, where he thinks it will be easier to dodge attacks on the war on women by pointing to his female running mate. There are probably better female VP candidates he could have chosen, but none with as high name recognition at the moment and who could help him now with the California primary coming up. Cruz would be foolish to think that Silicon Valley dollars will come in, I can’t find that Fiorina raised much money in her Senate race, she spent $5 million of her own. She was slightly ahead of Christie and Kasich in fundraising for her campaign earlier this year before she dropped out.
I can think of only one other candidate who announced his running mate before winning his party’s nomination, and it didn’t turn out well: Richard Schweiker - Wikipedia
