Ted Haggard "exits restoration process early"

Okay, I read this article, and I am not a newcomer to evangelical doublespeak, but I am still stumped. Could someone please help me understand.

Thanks.

It sounds to me that there were certain steps he was supposed to be taking to become an ordained minister again, and that he’s chosen not to take those steps (counseling, etc.).

I think it means that yet another supporter of the politics of personal responsibility refuses to be personally responsible. Either that, or he’s gay.

I’m reading-for-comprehension a bit better now: it appears he has cashed the last check from New Life. That explains the timing.

I can’t read the Gazette story – it keeps giving me an error message and must close. I tried accessing thru the Gazette’s main website, same problem. What’s it say?

That he “exited the restoration process” early, that the overseers had been non-plussed when he went public a few months ago seeking financial support, that part of his get-outta-town deal was that he be paid through 2007. I understand, not via the media, that his wife received a separate financial incentive not to drop him like a hot rock and run.

$2 on some documented recent man-sex?

New Life said in a written statement that “the process of restoring Ted Haggard is incomplete and (New Life) maintains its original stance that he should not return to vocational ministry.”

So, yeah, man-sex it probably is.

Maybe he just failed the roll-of-stamps-on-the-dick-and-look-at-Brad-Pitt test.

How desperate do you have to be to sell yourself sexually for $2? And what kind of sicko would think that was a good deal and take you up on it?

A kiss on the forehead might be worth $2, if the kissee was made of bacon or something.

Or meth. Let’s remember who we’re talking about here.

JDT is that you?
