Ah Cnote, you should take lessons in humility from me. 'Course, I’m finding it real easy to be humble right about now… (this will change, of course. Like Satchel said, don’t look back!)
I haven’t looked at this or my picks since the first day when I made my picks. Nice to see I’m in 6th, and have been for awhile, and they’ve all done great. What pisses me off though is I noticed I forgot to buy Covad on that inital day. Could’ve had em for a little under 2 and now they’re almost to 5. cries Bought em now though, so of course they’re going to tank.
Tough day on The Street. As of lunch, todays best performace was something like -0.2%. I actually lost about a grand while I watched as the page refreshed!
From dead last at the beginning of the contest to sixth. Whee!
Interesting thing is is that if I had just shorted mercilessly like I did in the last contest, I’d be a lot further ahead. 'Specially after this Friday.
As some of you out there have already noticed by now, the VTE site is kaput. 404 errors were all that came up for me this morning. A check of their front brought up this:
Hmmm. I’m neither upset nor surprised. Their site was going down the tubes fast. Missed trades, time-out errors, updates coming days after trades, you name it, it was getting worse by the day.
All in all, not a big surprise, I guess.
What I DO is that I’d be pissed beyond belief if I’d had really money tied up in that site.
Oh well, it’s only fun money for me.
Later.
Oh, by the way, did anyone out there have stock in Virtual Exchange?
so I sell out my shorts, then wanna get back in, then can’t get in for the past week, market’s about ready to tank this morning, which is just ideal for me, and I’m going on vacation, and they do this!
::catches breath::
Oh well, as I won’t be back 'til the 25th, I guess this is as good as it gets if something like this is gonna happen.
