teen/young mothers message board?

does anybody know of a good ubb-style (meaning ubb, vB, yabb, open topic, ultraboard, etc.) message board for young or teen mothers?

i’ve been trying to find a place to go and talk about my pregnancy because i’m so excited and nervous and scared and happy and just about every other emotion a person can think of. i know i’m not exactly a teen mom, but i don’t know a whole lot about pregnancy or parenting (regardless of having two step-kids) and i want someone other than my s.o. to ask questions and talk to. my mom is pretty clueless (everything i go through she says “that didn’t happen to me, are you sure that’s right?” i don’t think the woman even had morning sickness!)

also, if the board is kind of small, that would be good. i have trouble on big boards like the sdmb – i feel lost!

if anybody knows any sites, it would be much appreciated!

You might give Girl-Mom a try. It’s got a message board and lots of articles by young moms.

While not a teen moms message board, you can always find support at http://www.smileandactnice.com

Oh, and if you run into Fiwer, just ignore him-that’s his gimmick, but he’s actually really nice-he’s our resident troll.

thanks, i’d actually already been there, but i can’t figure out their message board system. i can’t get used to anything not ubb-style! :slight_smile:

hmm… does saan have many moms? i looked in the kids & pets forum, and it seemed to be all about pets.

although I didn’t see a topic specifically for teen moms, there IS one for 20-something moms (
I THINK this will give a direct link, but not sure). Besides, I’m sure the older moms can give some interesting advice. :slight_smile:

YES, indeed we have a great many moms-just start a topic.
We just went through a major upgrade and overhaul, so it might be a bit slow in there, but don’t be shy.
