teenage son

Feed him a fruit smoothie with some spinach in it. Do this a couple of days in a row. He’ll poop.

On a more serious note, it could be that his system cannot digest certain foods well. He could be lactose intolerant or gluten intolerant. It could be that he is eating the wrong foods. Too much soda, tea, cheese, refined foods and even Jello will cause problems. If the second is the issue, lot of water and lots of fresh fruit and veg are the answer.

I’m very curious to hear samclem’s explanation of how this happened.

This is why the zombie jokes are necessary.

I was about to start a thread in ATMB on WHY this thread hadn’t been moved yet. Glad I don’t have to do that now.

I read the other posts but was too focused on the OP to note that I was almost as slow as the OP’s son. :o

Good points.

In the meanwhile, good old Milk of Magnesia is an excellent laxative, very safe, and, since most people are magnesium-deficient, very healthy.

People, the OP posted once, in 2001. They’re not reading your responses.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would have died if my mother was discussing my bowel movements on a public message board.

nm. Let’s see how long this can go on.

The REAL reason we need to put the OP date on the thread list page!

See HERE for the latest ATMB thread, wherein we reprise the canonical rantings about zombie threads.

I have taken the liberty of PMing the OP with a reminder that his thread has been updated. I expect he’ll be around shortly.

I’m greatly amused by the fact that this thread picked up only 7 replies when first posted, but an additional 23 (including this one) since it was resurrected.

Hehe, I actually came in to comment, then saw something about ‘reanimating a zombie’ in one of the later posts.

Yes, I was scrolling through, 'cause lord knows I don’t really want to read about poop! I just saw the metamucil suggestion and came in to chime in that it’d be a good idea to avoid fiber-based laxatives unless there’s a LOT of water involved. Will make the problem worse.
