Tell me what you think when you look at this picture of bacon

Burned. I’d eat it, but be a little sad for how great it could have been if it hadn’t been overcooked.

Very slightly burned. But only very slightly.

I have lettuce, tomato and mayo that will go well with that.

Done more than I prefer, but hardly burnt and perfectly edible.
Though I might eat that and make another batch to get it right.

Mostly well cooked but a few pieces are burnt around the edges. I’d still eat all of it though

Those little f’ers look very tasty. Very tasty indeed.

I don’t eat bacon !

So what do you do with it, then?

“People who aren’t me probably like this.”

Mmmmmmm, bacon porn.

An involuntary exhalation… “Oooohhhh!”

Set that in front of me and it’s gone! Gobble gobble! Crunch yum! Thank you! Heaven on a plate.

That picture was exactly the way I like it best!

I like my bacon crispy, but there’s a fine line between crispy and burnt. And it’s tough to tell without actually tasting it, but that picture looks like it’s over that line.

Edible with the burnt ends removed.

Yum!
Okay, a little overdone, but still looks tasty.

I saw one piece that was burnt, but most of it is fine. I want it a bit crispy.

Looks like bacon to me. I believe in erring on the side of overcooking rather than undercooking bacon.

It looks like an opportunity to be polite to my host.

What a bad, bad poll, Mr. Idle Thoughts. The most common answer in the poll is “Ew,” but among posters in the thread it’s, “Overcooked but I can definitely deal with it.”

It’s hard to tell if the posters are a noisy minority or the same people voting for 'Ew." An important function of a SDMB poll is to show the feelings of those who don’t feel compelled to compose and post an individual answer. This poll fails. This isn’t some kind of manipulative push-poll… is it?

Anyway. I feel the bacon is overcooked but I could definitely deal with it. Having that bacon would be so much better than having no bacon.

I wouldn’t call it ‘perfectly cooked’, but it’s darn close. I’d eat it in a heartbeat.

Slightly overdone but almost perfect. A great deal better than the floppy barely-cooked kind.
