It was 1996.[sup]*[/sup] You ran into her in the lunch room–you bumped her tray and spilled her diet coke all over the ground. You were mortified… but you became friends–time passed and you fell in love. You worked up the courage to tell her, eventually… she tried to let you down gently, but you cried for a month.

Yet here it is, ten years later, and you won her over in the end. (Or maybe you didn’t; either way,) please, share your story.
Sure I’m game but I’ll tell you how I was won over.
My boyfriend and I were working with each other. We worked in different departments but would see each other at coffee break, lunch, and we would go out a group often. It was painfully clear that he liked me, but I wasnt interested. For two months he would subtlely (and not so subtlely) pursue me. Then one day it was a co-workers birthday and we all went out to the bar. Now saying this was a grimy bar would be an understatement. But they had cheap beer and 8-track kareoke. So the group of us got very drunk and when we all piled out of the building he came up to me and said “up here” and tiled my head up to kiss me. He walked my drunked ass home. Well first he asked if I wanted to go back to his place, but I said no, hey I’m no hussy.
It was a good thing that he walked me home because we lost the rest of the group and I really had no idea how to get home. I distinctly remember after I turned down his offer I looked around wondering how to get home and figureing I’ll just walk uphill because it was a small town and I lived up on the hill. :wally
So here is the lesson guys, all else fails, get her drunk
