Hmmmmmm…regarding your answer to why salt and lime accompanies downing a shot of tequila.
We have visited quite a few tequila factories in Mexico, and they all tell us two things: 1. Never, ever say the name Jose Quervo in our presence, and 2. That lime, salt schtick is something you Gringos do. We don’t have to because we only drink good tequila.

Here’s the column linkie. Oh we know that’s all for the umbrella-drinks-trendy crowd. At a seedy bar in the wilds of Dutch Harbor, Alaska, I remember ordering a shot of tequila, and the locals looked over and then the seedy bartender walked over and slowly leaned over and drawled, slowly and clearly: “you don’t want any of that lime and salt shit, do ya?” to which the only right answer is “no, sir!”
