Terrorists at Canadian dam?

Okay, the FedEx guy told me this one and a search of Snopes yielded nothing. His wife’s aunt lives in Canada near a dam (he named it, but I don’t remember what one it was) and a couple of days ago there were several Mideastern types going around the dam taking pictures and behaving in a manner which unnerved everyone so the cops were called. The cops show up, question the guys, can’t find anything to arrest them for and turn them loose. One of the guys its later found out is on an FBI list as being a known terrorist. This thing just screams urban legend, but ya never know. Anybody hear anything about this?

I checked a full-text database of almost every daily newspaper in Canada, for the past three months, and for all three keywords dam police released.

Nothing showed up.

Make of this what you will, but if this had much truth to it, it would have been plastered all over the media here.

Yeah, it says “UL” to me, too.

The FBI’s “Most Wanted Terrorist” list has only 22 names, the Best of the Worst, and I’d have to wonder what a Big Wheel like one of those guys would be doing, puttering around with a Kodak at a Canadian dam. Seems like grunt work to me.
