Test post -- columns

Just trying to figure out how to use columns:

Ontario 34.22 70.02 2.05
Quebec 24.92 29.98 1.20
British Col 11.30 25.68 2.27

OK, trying again…

Ontario…34.22…70.02…2.05
Quebec…24.92…29.98…1.20
British Columbia.11.30…25.68…2.27

How about a cut-and-paste?

Ontario 34.22 70.02 2.05
Quebec 24.92 29.98 1.20
British C. 11.30 25.68 2.27

How about a table from Word?

Ontario 34.22 70.02 2.05
Quebec 24.92 29.98 1.20
British Columbia 11.30 25.68 2.27

Try using the {code} tags. Click on reply with quote to see how easy it is.

Ontario..........34.22.....70.02.....2.05
Quebec...........24.92.....29.98.....1.20
British Columbia.11.30.....25.68.....2.27

How about Courier in Word?

Ontario 34.22 70.02 2.05
Quebec 24.92 29.98 1.20
British C. 11.30 25.68 2.27

I don’t get it. So what do I do? Type "

" and then line my numbers up using blank spaces, and then type "

"

OK, it didn’t. So here’s what I want to ask; just substitute “[” wherever I type “(”

It seems that what you are suggesting is I type “(code)” at the start of the section I want to have as columns. Then line everything up using blank spaces. Then type “(/code)” to turn it off?

OK, I’ll give it a shot…

OK, here’s my test, using codes…

Ontario 34.22 70.02 2.05
Quebec 24.92 29.98 1.20
British Columbia 11.30 25.68 2.27

Now, to see if that worked…

Before the table, type the word code inside brackets [ and ]. After the table, type /code inside brackets.

Yippee!! Thanks, bibliophage! Now, to launch phase two of my plan to take over the message board…

now that I finally get to shake montfort’s custom sig.
