quote testing my userscript again. For some reason, Discoures still edited the quote

Don’t know if it works on self-quotes.

Seems Discourse is editing my quote after I fix it. Hopefully adding a short delay will now have fixed the problem.

When I quote the batmobile picture, and then even remove the quote codes so it’s just the image link alone on a line, discourse won’t let me post. Says I’m not allowed to embed images.

Sorry Cardigan - just testing !

What are you left with when you delete the quote code ?
You should be left with this :-

Okay, figured out what my problem was. Instead of replying to the post and then hitting the quote button in the reply box, I had selected the Batman picture with the mouse and clicked the little quote popup. Doing it that way starts the image line off with an exclamation mark, which it occurs to me is some kind of “this is an embedded image” flag.

Doing it now without selecting the Batman picture first appears to work just fine, and it does not start with an exclamation mark. (And I had to do it that way just now because I’m on my phone; no mouse.)

Bumper sticker of the 1964 Presidential election:

\displaystyle \frac{2P}{H^3} = AuH_2O

Ok, the AuH_2O bit is obviously Goldwater, but I don’t get the \displaystyle \frac{2P}{H^3} bit.

Same here. Goldwater is obvious but the other bit is not clear.

H3 may be Hubert Horatio Humphrey…

In the Nerdy Geeky Jokes thread, it was explained that this is “2 (political) parties divided over Hubert H. Humphrey = Goldwater”.

Okay, thanks for the explanation.

Got it!

But why doesn’t the text wrap?

Testing, manual wrap, not ideal —

Can’t figure it out. I’ll use a modified message.

please check your PMs. I shipped your package in a
