I get up to level 43, slip to 41 or 40, then climb to 43 again. Damn, this is addictive.

I donated about 2500 last night (can’t remember what number I left off at) and 2600 today. I tend to hover between 43 and 46, but have hit 47 a few times.
Their vocab levels are weird - I’d get up to 48 or so but mostly around 44, but they’d bust out six words I’d never heard of and couldn’t even guess at, and in the middle is “scintillating” or “claymore” or something that I expect most educated people to recognize.
Those levels are very weird. I earned 1800 grains of rice, did not miss a word, and the highest the vocab level got was 47.

This was fun. I stopped at about 2200, score ranged from 40-46.
Anyone else amused that their definition of “saturnalia” is “debauchery”?
On the oddness of the definitions… as pointed out upthread, I think they are going with “most related to” rather than exact equivalence.
According to the FAQ:
I’m at 1270 grains, level 47 (just missed a couple, darn it). I’ve been bouncing between 46 and 50 for a while now, and have not seen any repeats in the stimulus word.
I eventually got up to 47 two or three times, but briefly and then back to my typical levels (~43); haven’t had the random luck of enough level-47 words coming up consecutively to get bumped into 48 or beyond.
Anybody get this one?

I seemed to hover in the 42-46 range with an occasional foray into the 47/48 realm.
