Everythingis better with bacon.

Jamie - Why do you insist on using those Google links? They really suck for people who like to preview the link via the hover function since it doesn’t tell you where it’s actually going to.
Edit to add:

Also, the link you posted doesn’t work.

icles?

I’m looking forward to the Carolina BBQ whopper and sweet potatoe fries.

Can you give me a better option?

You doubled up the http:// part. That comes up by default when you add a link, so delete it before you paste in your link. It should come up highlighted, so if you right click on it and click paste it should replace that with your link.

Uh, just do what everyone else does and provide the url of the site.

Just copy the direct link you want to share and when you post, click on the little link symbol and paste the link into the box.

You want to link to this site:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/all-we-can-eat/post/burger-king-joins-the-bacon-ice-cream-party/2012/06/13/gJQAIhDHaV_blog.html

You can use url tags to add links to your posts - typing (without the spaces I’m adding here) [url = http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/all-we-can-eat/post/burger-king-joins-the-bacon-ice-cream-party/2012/06/13/gJQAIhDHaV_blog.html]link[/ url] gives you this result: link.

I think you can quote a post that contains a link to see the vb code as well. Try it with this one.

Like this?

No, now you’ve got the Straight Dope adlink crap embedded in there.

Go to whatever site you want to link to, click on the url box in your browser and hit ctrl-C. Then paste that as the link, using either the little link function or just as text.

This is harder than it was to teach my now-deceased grandmother to use her VCR.

No.

Click your link above. Copy THAT URL that you’re directed to. (Your browser has a URL address bar, right?) Now use that URL.

If this is a test, I’d be concerned about the weekly Friday pop quizzes. They account for 50 percent of your final grade.

That’s what I do. I go to the site I want to link to and then copy the address from my browsers address bar and then paste it into the post.

Or also like this.

Can I play too? I’ve somehow made it this far without learning how to do this…

ETA: Woohoo! It worked!

Some people don’t have an address bar, or know what it is, why they should turn it on, or how.

Some people think the only way you can get to a web site is by entering the URL in the google search window.

Those two explain many things in the world today.

Actually, that recipe looks pretty good. I was wondering what to make for dinner tonight.

Thanks!

Dammit, this one’s gotta be right…
