Nah. If they were really that evil, they would have broadcast it in prime time before anyone knew about the embedded Rickroll, just to make sure it inflicted the maximum amount of pain.

Here’s a secret I’m not supposed to spill: ACORN is far more important to you guys than to us. It’s your obsession, not ours. Ditto Obama’s birth certificate, the supposed drive to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine, and the Obama Administration’s plans to round up everyone’s guns.
But if stuff like this keeps you guys busy and out of trouble, we’re good with that.

A corporation can certainly be held responsible for the consequences of acts of their employees committed in the course of performing their duties. But be that as it may, in that post, Lightnin’ nowhere put the onus on Fox News as an organization.

Try to learn to read for comprehension, Shodan. Fox News didn’t do anything illegal, the guy who recorded the sting did. Although I suppose it’s possible that Fox did, in fact do something illegal by rebroadcasting it.

Seconded. I’d never even *heard *of ACORN until something like a month or two before the election… when the wingnuts started to scream about the organization. I must admit I’m a bit confused by the hardon they’ve got for taking ACORN down.
I was familiar with ACORN, but was surprised by the right wing media attacks, because the sinister organization of their fevered imaginations has nothing to do with the rather benign institution of apolitical do-gooders that I was familiar with.

You are totally correct sir. This is what happens when the right starts to actually believe some of the preposterous lies that their handlers feed them. We may scoff at the birthers etc., but keep in mind that these people actually believe, to the core of their beings, anything told to them by Beck, Rush, Limbaugh et al. Those 3 must be splitting their sides!

Nope, still not seein’ it. Maybe I’m so transparent that light passes right through my eyeballs and as a result I’m completely blind.
I specifically said that the *filmmaker *did something illegal. I also linked to a site where it is claimed that ACORN may be suing FOX for airing the illegally-gained footage- but as I’m not a lawyer, I’ll leave the analysis of that to the experts. Please do show us where I said that Fox did something illegal.
