For the best weekend of football I have ever seen. Every game was close, with two (that’s 50%!!) going into overtime.
Unbelievable. I’m glad that I was home to watch the games, which was another miracle.
This is what sports is all about. Bravo.

Indeed. A great weekend of NFL action. We can only hope next weekend is close to this one.
Heck, even last weekend had some good games. So far this year’s playoffs have been great.
(And I’m really looking forward to the Colts-Patriots game next weekend. Could be a classic).
Yea, this was one hell of a weekend. Some of the games even got my girlfriend–who likes football, but isn’t a fan like me–yelling at the TV, in true armchair quarterback fashion.
But let this weekend be a warning. The football gods do not take kindly to cowardice!
Man, Patriots and the Colts. I’m thinking Game for the Ages.
The Colts might actually play against a team with a defence. They haven’t seen one in the last couple of weeks.
Nice games- However I do believe Philly was given an extremely generous spot to convert that 4th and forever late in the game. Football still has a ways to go to match the drama that MLB provided in October.
Don’t let BobLibDem’s whining ruin the great weekend!
Not whining, I didn]t really have a dog in that fight. Just seemed to me that spot was extremely generous. I think it begged for a booth review.
The Colts and Chiefs game was actually the least entertaining. There was no defense by either team and it made the game pretty one dimensional. I am rooting for Tony Dungy, Manning and Harrison and the Colts but I wouldn’t bet on them after watching that game.
The Rams and Panthers game was a really good game. That last interception by the Panther DB was beauty and he really saved the game.
Er… Denver had the fourth ranked defense overall in the regular season. And while KC’s rush defense is admittedly horrible, their pass defense wasn’t bad, and they were fourth in the league in takeaways.
Peyton Manning is the best passer in the league, bar none, but he won’t get the credit he deserves until he wins a Superbowl. You’ve got to love him though- he’s kind of a nerd, walking tall in a business full of well, jocks.
(yeah, I know, he probably did date the head cheerleader and all that… but he LOOKS like a nerd)
BobLibDem is right, it was a generous spot, but it still would have been a first down if they reviewed it.
First baseball, now the NFL, I can’t remember two playoffs like this back to back.
I think Payton gets a lot of credit. He just hasn’t been to the big game and he will have to win one to get that off his back. His story is similar to John Elway. Unfortunately he doesn’t play defense and the Colts better play some next Sunday.
Yeah, poor Peyton gets no respect. Just a co-MVP for the league and trip to the Pro Bowl after only 4 years in the NFL. Poor Peyton.
