I’m having weird feelings of gratitude tonight. I’m not going to go into personal details, but over the past year I’ve been through one of the most challenging (worst? best?) periods of my life. I’ve turned to the SDMB not for advice but for entertainment and escape and edification.
I’ve sparred with many of you. Received support from others. Had people chanting for my banning numerous times. The funny thing is that I really feel I have no enemies, nor any enmity on my part toward any. If I had to pick a quasi-arch enemy, I guess it would be Bryan Ekers, but like a child who’s learned to like broccoli, I’ve learned to appreciate Bryan’s particular take on things, even though it may be in the main opposite to my own, and end up chuckling at the thought that we are foes.
So, thank you, SDMB! Thank you, Bryan Ekers! and so many others. May we continue to prosper on this fine Internet for many a year!
