OK, so I was busy fucking up a couple of other threads at the time. But still.
How about a cap-and-trade system? Each of us starts with credit for ruining, say, three threads a year. Anyone who ruins more than that has to buy thread-ruining credits from someone who hasn’t reached his quota.
What’s to prevent someone from buying all the credits and making it impossible to ruin any threads?

Couldn’t it be like the, “hi Opal” meme, so when he posts, someone else posts “Smapti, the unfightable ignorance”, so that newbies like me were warned, and then we just carry on as if he wasn’t there?
He is just such an irredeemable creature, and he spoils so many promising debates.
I’d like to read all of this board, but he makes my heart hurt. I terrifies me that he might not be a troll.
There’s lots of posters here that I disagree with but I often enjoy reading, even if only for recreational outrage, but he taints everywhere he posts.

Actually, in Cafe Society, he’s done a great job with the music poll threads. The very opposite of shitting on the forum, in fact, being very contributive and creating a series of threads that lots of posters participate in and enjoy - real value-adding stuff.
It’s like he’s two different posters - one whose threads in CS I actively seek out, and the other in BBQ and GD whose name on a post fills me with dread for the shit I’m about to read. Is there some way we can confine him to only posting in CS? Or an “ignore - but only in these forums” option

I cut that sentence off a bit too early - it’s not about the death penalty thread because bobot didn’t start that one.
I wore one out (and nearly lost my index finger to a repetitive stress injury in the process), but the Greasemonkey script that wishes him and everyone who replies to his deranged ptyalism into the digital cornfield works like a gold-plated charm.
Guess I’ll need to tweak it, though, since it didn’t hide this thread from my delicate eyes.
According to his own account, he had a severely fucked up childhood. Assuming this is correct, it goes a long to explaining his dysfunctionality.
