I believe Polycarp is referring to the rather dubious nature of the Swift Boat Veterans assertions. The SFV were “bearing false witness” (i.e. lying), you thanked them for it, therefore it is reasonable to assume you’re in favor of it. I don’t think it’s that complicated to understand the thread of logic there.
Unless of course you believe they were telling the truth, in which case this is a different debate altogether.
