Thanks Czarcasm

Thanks Czarcasm for closing down my thread. (And thanks Lynn for closing down the one that inspired it.) Not very clear on the concept of sarcasm are we?

This is really a breath of fresh air. The moderators around here are overworked and underpaid. But it’s really so pleasant to see my fellow dopers taking the time out of their busy schedule to thank both a moderator AND an administrator in the same thread. I’m sure they’ll appreciate the gesture as much as I do.

And thank you, Enderw24, for pointing out the difference between amateur and professional sarcasm. :slight_smile:

I may start a “Ask a Quebec Separatist” thread out of spite.

C’mon, Czar, tell me you didn’t like my baby joke.

(yes, I’m fully aware of the subterfuge of linking to a closed thread to resuscitate it)

If you try this south of the equator, will the fly swim clockwise?

Hey, Czarcasm?

When will we be getting that Wet Suits And Rubber Gloves forum and will you be moderating, or will manhattan take that one?

Just so long as I don’t end up in charge of it.

Shouldn’t that title be only in French?

::d&r::

No need to d&r, it’s a correct assumption. My dream Montreal nightclub is called “The Seal Hole” with a big neon baby seal poking its head out of a hole in the ice. When L’Office de la Langue Francaise gets wind of us, we’re “forced” to change the name to “Le Phoque Trou”. Think of the free publicity!

Aww, John,, just think of the fun we could have!

Arden Ranger: No, I side with John on this one. Imagine being the only mod who doesn’t get to dismiss a thread with the epithet: “Off to Wet Suits And Rubber Gloves”… :smiley:

laugh

Well, when you put it that way, DRY
