It’s a cloudy 42 with a projected high of 48. It’s breezy and dry out.
I overslept because I wake up in the middle of the night and can’t go back to sleep. I’ve got too much on my mind.
I’m getting really upset because I just got another hospital bill marked second notice, 30 days past due and I never got the first bill. I’m scared this stuff is going to show up on my credit report but how am I supposed to take care of bills I don’t know about? I don’t even know who to call to find out what bills I should be getting.
This last one is for cardiology services for the ekg and echo m-mode.
Then there is one for the emergency ambulance ride.
One for the UM doctor who placed the stents.
One for the BWMC emergencey room physician.
One for the heart doctor at BWMC.
One for an x-ray.
One for BWMC that lists a ton of services, including some in the other bills, only I suspect they are charging for the procedure while the other ones are charges for the interpretations and readings.
I still haven’t gotten a bill for the ambulance ride from BWMC to UM.
I guess I must not have hit post when I tried to post an hour or so ago. :smack:
I’m home alone, and the house is quiet. Two loads have been washed, dried, folded, and put away, and the last load for today is in the dryer. I’m finishing up with the series World Without End on Netflix while knitting. Not sure what I’ll watch or knit next. Or what I’ll eat. I’m thinking this might be a pizza day.
I have to say, I’m enjoying the quiet. My FIL is losing his hearing so the TV is always so LOUD!!!
I did laundry shortly after I got up and purtified, as **swampy **would say. I put the bottle of detergent in my hamper and put the hamper on top of the washer like I usually do. As the washer went into the final spin cycle, the vibrations moved the hamper closer and closer to the edge until it fell off. The cap on my detergent broke and liquid went everywhere. Fortunately the lady who works at the laundromat was very understanding and let me use the hose she uses to fill the mop bucket to clean the detergent off my hamper. I need to scrounge a new cap for my detergent bottle since that’s what I use to measure the correct amount. There weren’t any thrown-away bottles in the trash–too early, I guess. I may need to buy a backup bottle.
Then I get home and Complicated Friend is sending me guilty text messages. He calls me about an hour ago and confesses he went digging through my LJ and read some of the things I wrote after we broke up back in '07. I reassured him all of that is in the past and we are not the same people we were back then. We chatted for a while and I should really plug my phone in the charger because I think my battery is almost dead. (That happens when I use my phone to talk to people other than just as an alarm clock.)
Speaking of communicating with people, Oldest Sister sent me a card yesterday thanking me for chauffeuring Der Pa around for Christmas and for the jar of apple butter I gave her. She is 44 years old and never had apple butter before. She liked it.
I’ve done enough for today. I’m going to make chili and then play Skyrim until bedtime. Which is a complete change from yesterday where I made nothing and played Oblivion all day. It’s a lazy weekend.
Howdy Y’all! Home from deheathenization and N.O.L. There was a mother/daughter Baptism this mornin’ which was nice. Today is The Feast of The Baptism Of Our Lord for those who may be keepin’ score.
OYKW is here and has just gone to lie down for a nappy poo. I think I shall join him.
I’ve finished watching my mini-series - meh. I finished a second kid’s hat. I’m edging a bunch of squares that my daughter crocheted eons ago - they’re going to become an afghan. Oh, and I just finished up the last of the pulled poke. It was yum, thanks in part to Sonny’s Sweet BBQ sauce.
Had work today thank goodness- the money situation has been Not Good- so I also applied for several jobs. Well, I say work- it was dead quiet, and there was nuttin’ at all to do, so half the time was sat chattin’ and eatin’ sammiches.
On the positive side, I’ve been lookin’ at spending some of my rapidly evaporating Christmas money on a bicycle. I found what I thought might be OK, but wanted someone with a bit mroe clue to come check it out. I mentioned this in passing to my landlord- and he replied “Is the bike in the garage too big for you?” blink
I’ve not been in the garage before- it’s kept locked, but it turns out a previous tenant did a bunk owing several months rent. He’d cleared his room out when he scarpered, but apparently couldn’t find the garage key, so had abandoned his bike when he left.
It has a puncture, and the tires are pretty flat, but it otherwise seems to be a nice bike in pretty good condition. And no, it’s not too big for me.
Tomorrow will be mostly spent in sorting out the tyres, getting meself a helmet, and seeing if it’s really true that you never forget how to ride a bike. At least, that’s the plan if it’s not raining too much
Why is it when you’re not allowed solid food, even stale 3 day old pizza looks good? Per given schedule, about to take my first dose of, err, rocket fuel. Pray for me…
I found the note from my Dr with their new address and I googled it. So now I know where I’m going tomorrow. It’s just down the road from my gym - I may go ride the bike before my appointment - then I can come right home after.
**FCD **and folks are safely at Duke. First appt tomorrow is at 7:30 (same as mine!!) and I think the surgery is at 12:30. With luck, I’ll hear how things went before I leave work.
Time to watch some TV and knit the night away. MWAH!!
Well, I could start speculating on just how much gunk can be contained in human lungs, since I’m pretty sure that today I’ve coughed up a volume within the same ballpark as the actual volume of my lungs.
Skipped deheathenating today due to coughing, not wishing to be totally disruptive to those around me.
