No matter what she drove she’d likely have done the same… cept for maybe a Golf.
I don’t know, the defense might ultimately be able to successfully argue some sort of insanity plea. A person that runs over two teenagers and then doesn’t flee but calmly sits around smoking a cigarette might not be the epitome of mental health or sanity. Sticking around rather than running might suggest that she, well, didn’t know it was wrong.
I pray that the 14 year old lives and recovers fully.
Insanity defenses almost never work, apart from on TV. If failure to flee became established as evidence, then there would be some pretty perverse incentives. While she is nutty as a fruit cake, from the look of it, I highly doubt she will be found not guilty as a result.
On the other hand, some kind of plea involving long term medical treatment might well be in this woman’s future.
Or she didn’t care that others thought it was wrong, and knew she’d get caught so didn’t bother to run… There are many nuances that only the people giving her a mental evaulation will see. If Isiah dies, I hope she gets locked up, (prison, mental hospital, somewhere) and never let out at the least.

What’s also weird is that ostensibly she was upset that the golf ball could have (but didn’t) damage her SUV.
She then proceeds to jump the median, and mow down a pole and 2 humans. She is mental.
Whether or not she’s crazy, I seriously doubt she’ll “walk” from this, er, so to speak.
Ooooh, good one. It all depends on whether or not the young men were bouncing the golf ball ironically or not. Of course, the woman could have been driving the SUV ironically, too, in which case we’re back to square one. I guess I’ll just have to wait until all the facts are in before I flip me beret dismissively at either party.
