That's dumb, Mr. President.

Tell Obama to use the handrails when going up and down the steps at AF1!
Peace,

Hey, he’s not Ford…

(Yes, I know Chevy Chase was responsible for most of that impression of him; let’s just run with it, shall we?)

Did he fall down, or is this is a safety bulletin?

Did the Secret Service wrestle the stairs to the ground?

Safety bulletin.
It’s not his body for another couple years. All that money spent to protect his important self, and he runs down steep stairs.
Of course, there is Biden just in case. That makes me feel a little better.
BTW; if my unimportant self were seen runnung down stairs at work I’d get very much frowned at.
That makes me feel loved.

Eh. It seems like just about everybody trips or stumbles on those stairs at some point. They use them so often it’s probably inevitable.

I think you’re the only person who has ever said that - and probably the only one who ever will!

Yeah I guess, but.
And,
It is pretty lonesome oner in the Biden corner.

Not true.

I was there, watching our Chief Executive on TV, and was amazed at how often he stumbled and fell.
I have no idea why, and I’m not the blaming the man – this is independent of his politics.

It was funny when Chevy Chase did it because it was true. I’d seen it often enough before Chase started doing it as a gag.

I beg to differ. I think Biden is the best veep since Gore.

Well, I’m too young to know  but it seems like Chase really cemented that impression in the public’s mind. Ford was one of the most athletically-gifted/accomplished men to hold the office, as well.

This is a good time to link how Ford got the last laugh on Chase (NYT article written by Chase after Ford’s death).

For those of you who are too young to know:

Look at the per capita numbers there – what the purple fuck is going on in Lithuania? If those numbers are reliable (a big “if”), a person in Lithuania is 196 times more likely to die from a fall on the stairs than a person in Israel (a country that, I assume, has its fair share of multi-story buildings).

No handrails.

In Lithuania, stairs fall on you!

I really hope he doesn’t fall. Homeland security will be all over me.

1307 deaths in the US alone. Wow. See, this is why people shouldn’t have pusher robots in their houses.

It would be interesting to know how many people have never had any kind of slip, stumble, or misstep on stairs. Zero would be my guess, but I wouldn’t expect complete honesty. No point in running a poll, that’s for sure.
