So I came to work early, and am wasting time surfing… I found a story about Yeti here.
About 1/2 way down the page there is a picture of a monk with the caption “A monk at the All Seeing Eye poses with a toy Yeti.”
Huh! That Yeti looks familiar!
It took me a minute to realize why it looked so familiar…
Just thought I’d share.
You know, this puts me in mind of a young lady I knew in college. Beth, her name was. She lived in the same dorm with the future Mrs. Dave-Guy. We were all friends.
Well, the other girls in the dorm nicknamed her “Bumble.” Because, well, you see, Beth bounced.
My son has one of those. It was the only thing on his Santa list. He wanted a “Bumble Snowmonster.”
I thought you were going to say he wanted Beth!
whew!
Being owned by a monk, I would think that its one humble bumble…
I have a Bumble BobbleBody sitting (well, standing) on my desk. Target sold them last Christmas & Mr. Pol bought him for me.
What’s a BobbleBody? Like a bobblehead… but his whole body (waist up) bobbles.
:: Adds BobbleBody to list of fun words to say ::
He’s only three!
(Then again, he is pretty facinated by Mommy’s breasts - so maybe he’d have asked for Beth if she were in the Toys-r-us catalog).
Yeah, Poli, I have a bobble-body doll too. My daughter gave it to me for Christmas. It’s not a Bumble, though. It’s Betty Boop in a grass skirt, holding a ukulele in front of her chest, which is a good thing, because it doesn’t appear she’s wearing anything other than the grass skirt. She’s a “Hula Boop!” And she sits on my computer monitor, along with the cool guys you sent me for Secret Santa.
I got a serious thing about Betty Boop…
