Thawed out frozen shrimp- still good?

I bought some frozen shrimp on Friday night- they were frozen solid, precooked. I ate half and put the rest in the fridge double wrapped in ziplock bags and just remembered that they’re there. I opened them up and they look and smell fine- are they OK to eat?

I know “when in doubt throw it out” ,but they look and smell fine and I’m just double checking before I enter into some unknown food poisoning hell.

Friday to Wednesday is five (5) days. Might be a bit iffy. [Or chancy?]

Of course there is Pepto=Bismol and Imodium-AD

By now you have done the deed whatever it was. Now is the time to throw them out, as it’s now way past time to eat them.

They’re probably ok, but personally, I wouldn’t chance it after 5 days. Cooked meat generally keeps better than uncooked, but refrigeration doesn’t stop bacterial growth, it only slows it down. Besides, the taste and texture have probably suffered, as well.
