The 1st Annual Tebow Marches to the Super Bowl Thread

Eat it Pittsburgh.

As a Steelers fan, all I have to say is: OK, we deserved that.

FTR, I’m rooting for Timmy from this point on. The farther he goes in the playoffs, the more he’ll make people’s heads asplode. It’s great fun, really

Looks like the current internet betting sites have the Pats at -13.5

Congrats, guys, you deserve it. (I think the sports gods have it out for Pittsburgh right now)

Woot! What a game!!

If I were a betting man (and I’m not!) I’d take the Broncos and the points. The Pats are at home and coming off a first round bye. You just know Denver is going to win*.

*That is not a prediction, btw.

It’s been a rough year for Pennsylvania on the hole.

Sorry, “whole”, it’s been rough on the whole.

What’s funny, is that I can’t tell if this is sarcastic or not.

ANY OTHER year, and I’d say sarcasm, because up until this season, the Patriots had both an amazing at home win streak, AND an amazing ‘coming off a bye week’ win streak…and both of those were gone…IIRC, it was in one game to (shudder) Pittsburgh.

But in all honesty, I don’t see Tebow being able to get past the Patriots…him and the Broncos couldn’t do it earlier, and I don’t see them correcting their mistakes, whereas I do see the Pats D correcting a few of theirs…and maybe with the bye week one of their many previously injured secondary players can come back? maybe? Hopefully?

isn’t that the dilemma exactly? nobody but NOBODY saw Tebow getting past the steelers. in fact, if you had asked me 24 hrs ago i would have said that the broncos would have an easier time getting past the pats than the stillers. on paper, nobody can see Tebow getting past the pats either but truthfully, nobody saw this team winning more than 6 games either - hence the compelling beauty of Tim Tebow.

There is one intriguing change in the equation now… enter reviled ex-Broncos coach and new Pats assistant Josh McDaniels. Naw, that probably won’t get any airtime.

Not true: » It’s an All-Football Mailbag!

Plenty of folks thought the Broncos could cover, and Bill Simmons (the only actual prediction column I happened to read this week) picked the Broncos to win.

I’d actually take the points next week too - 13.5 is too large, IMO.

And I think we all remember the last shitty team to back into the playoffs from a crap division. The Seahawks won their first-round game too.

Except that the Broncos seem to have Brady’s number. I believe Brady is 2-6 against the Broncos.

That said, boy did the Pats stomp the snot out of them last month…

I liked Peter King’s note on it in his column this week - better not pick his nose, since you know they’ll have a camera trained on him.

I liked the first version better.

I’d put them at about -31.6.

80 yard touchdown pass.
10 of 21 passes for 316 yards and two touchdowns.
Holy crap!
He really did it.
Wow.

The Lord God has truly blessed the Broncos and their leader, the messiah, Tim Tebow. All those with fear and evil in their hearts should be quaking in their boots for the Glory that is Tebow cometh!

If you really think that, all I can say is that apparently some people never learn.

Good game from the Broncos yesterday, they deserved to win, and I hope they stomp a mudhole in the Patriots next week.

I think you were whooshed and Hal meant ‘as in John 316’.
