The 2014-2015 TV Season Discussion Thread/Game

24 new shows will debut on the broadcast networks this Fall. What are you planning to watch? What’s dead in the water?

And if anyone wants to pick the first five to bite it (in order), I’ll keep track and see who’s the smartest pretend TV exec.

Sunday
Madam Secretary (CBS, 9/21)
Mulaney (Fox, 10/5)

Monday
Scorpion (CBS, 9/22)
Jane the Virgin (CW, 10/13)
Gotham (Fox, 9/22)
State of Affairs (NBC, 11/17)

Tuesday
Selfie (ABC, 9/30)
Manhattan Love Story (9/30)
Forever (ABC 9/23)
NCIS: New Orleans (CBS, 9/23)

Red Band Society (Fox, 9/17)
The Mysteries of Laura (NBC, 9/17)

Thursday
How to Get Away with Murder (ABC, 9/25)
The McCarthys (CBS, 10/30)
Gracepoint (Fox, 10/2) officially considered a miniseries
Bad Judge (NBC, 10/2)
A To Z (NBC, 10/2)

Friday
Cristela (ABC, 10/10)
Constantine (NBC, 10/24)

I don’t see any that intrigue me. I may get into whatever gets the most buzz and lasts more than a few episodes.

I’ll be sticking with old favorites that have yet to piss me off. They include:

Justified
Sons of Anarchy
The Good Wife
The Bridge
Boardwalk Empire
Ray Donovan
Masters of Sex
Bones
Survivor
Blue Bloods

College Football!

I saw the pilot for Forever on On Demand, and it looked good enough to follow.

John Mulaney’s stand up is great, so I’ll try his show, even though the promos looked weak.
I’ll give Gotham a shot, although I think it’s probably doomed by its very nature.
I missed Broadchurh, so I’ll give Gracepoint a go.
Nothing else jumped out at me, although I’m sure something will get good buzz and convince me.
