I tried to watch it. I watched a conversation between Coady & Brittany for about ten minutes.
Both of them said the word “like” once in about every 12 words. It started to make me crazy. I had to turn it off after ten minutes and can’t imagine ever watching that again. It was brutal.
But at least I understand why the producers edit that material before broadcasting the show. If they didn’t, I can’t imagine many people would watch. It was terrible.
I used to when it was on Showtime2. Since I have cable I don’t get BBAD anymore since it appears to only be on satellite. (Even if not, it’s not on my service, which is Cablevision.)
I understand it’s super annoying now that it’s been edited. Back on Showtime2 there was tons of cursing, and always the possibility for nudity.
Are the online feeds something you have to pay for?
If I had that I might never leave the chair!
Yes I saw Frankie’s speech. I teared up, it was sweet. Really great family that they’re wanting him to stay so badly. You know that’s got to be hard.
BTW, I know they still don’t know who his sis is, but has he ever said his last name? I keep waiting for someone to figure it out or for him to accidentally let something slip.
I noticed that too! Like Cody like has the habit like really bad! Gag!
I suspected it was edited more than just bleeping curse words because people would pop from one room to another during commercial break just too often.
I’m on Comcast cable. It’s not in the HD channels. I found it on channel 100 by accident one night. Man, you don’t realize how much better HD is until you watch BBAD for 3 hours and go to bed a bit cross eyed!
I feel sooo bad for Caleb. They’re unnecessarily making him look foolish and it’s like passive bullying. Why didn’t Amber just tell him I’m not interested in you a long time ago? This is just cruel what they’re doing now.
Yeah, he told them his family name - but in it’s original pronunciation. He pronounced it “Grand-ee”, which is how his grandfather pronounced it. They don’t know that he usually pronounces it “Grand-ay” - just like his sister’s pronunciation.
She has - repeatedly. He’s just not listening. He thinks he can win her over.
And yeah, you have to pay for the feeds. I’m not sure how much they cost, though. Maybe $15 a month?
Reading the Live blogging sites, there seems to be a lot of buffering issues with the live feeds this season. Perhaps it is because they have HD cameras this year?
And some tragic irony - the morning after Derrick threw the HOH challenge so that Frankie could see a picture of his grandfather, Derrick’s grandfather passed away. He was notified last night.
After the other two members of Team America lost grandfathers, they should probably put a security detail on any remaining grandfathers that Donny may have.
I’m thoroughly enjoying this season, even if there is a lack of drama and no real villain to root against. Last night’s Double Eviction show was classic, if only for Donny’s outright heroic POV win to take himself off the block. In 16 seasons, he is officially the best “old guy” player ever. I literally clapped when he won, like when my team scores a touchdown.
I liked Hayden, but wasn’t sorry to see him go. At this point in the game he wasn’t adding anything. Still a bunch of strong players left. I do like the way the recent groups have been so history-aware of the show and how to play.
It would have been much more interesting for the season in general if Derrick and Cody had bought into their foursome with Nicole and Hayden. I would have found it much more entertaining to see those four square off against Frankie, Zack and Caleb.
Ah well. The season had a momentary spark of excitement, but the double eviction ended that. At least we got the heroism of Donny, which I agree was awesome.
You have been proven correct. Even though this is the craziest season of this show ever (and not in a good way), it seems there are very few people who want to talk about it.
I believe that most discussions of this show would contain racist or homophobic speech and would therefore lead into many problems for this board since it does not permit that kind of language. I can’t blame this board in this case. IMO, it has been a terrible season and the most terrible aspects are being shown right around now.
What are you talking about? That *we *would refer to the people on the show using racist & homophobic language, or that they call each other that in the live feeds? What ever gave you the impression that the SDMB would call people on TV fags or niggers? This isn’t 4chan. Or is that how *you *think of them and therefore you think everyone else would as well?
And what has been so crazy about this season? You sound as if you are describing the last season with Aryan and her racist friends.
If anyone is taping Big Brother, The golf tournament should go at least an hour longer than expected. I would not expect BB to broadcast until at least 9 pm ET.
