The 2014 Big Brother point and laugh thread

Yep, nearly a 2 hour rain delay in the PGA Championship.

Question about veto competitions:

If someone on the block wins PoV (they shouldn’t be eligible to compete in veto comps, but I digress) what’s to stop the HoH from sending them right back up?

Because the HOH is not allowed to do that. So I guess “Big Brother” is what’s stopping them.

The rules. That’s the point.

Am I the only one who does not know who Ariana Grande is?

What difference does it make if Frankie is her brother.

She’s a teeny bop singer. Though I can’t name a single song of her’s.

According to stuff I’ve read online about the live feeds, most of the HGs didn’t know who she was either.

Oh man, I loved the look on everyone’s face when Donny emerged victorious.

What?

They’re the ones who NEED to compete in veto comps. The days of the plain old veto are long gone. The Golden Power of Veto has been in play since the 2nd season when vetos were introduced (although later in the season than the plain old veto). It was a Golden Power of Veto that Marcellus infamously declined to use on himself.

Twitter is alive with some semi-spoiler information on Team America mission this week.

Julie is going to ask one of Team America what they want for Have-Not food, and one of Team America is supposed to say “Apple Pie”. If Julie says Yes, it is mission accomplished on the “Play” last night, if she says no, the Mission was not accomplished. More Spoilers on what the answer is: No Apple Pie for the Have nots this week, thank god, the play was lame

Jay: I’d prefer if the players on the block were at the mercy of the other houseguests. As you said, that ship sailed long ago. I only watch BB and Survivor, and other non-food reality shows, if there’s a cute girl to root for.

Christine’s husband is one weird looking dude.

They deserve each other!

Frankie and Christine are getting really bad edits in the last week. Frankie has looked really bad with his PLAY for Team America (Overwhelming NO!!) and his dismissal of Donny as a slacker.

And Christine getting hammered with her Flirt-mance with Cody and her family and friend’s reaction to it. And then then her laugh, which is mildly irritating, but no where near as irritating as Rachel’s laugh from a couple of seasons ago…and on TAR.

Is it just me, or does it seem like the whole “HOLLA!” bit is punishment for everyone and not just Derrick?

Not just you, and I’m pretty sure that’s intentional. Going for the 5k not only pisses people off game-wise, but this twist adds pissing people off by hurting their quality of life.

Now that my man Donny is relegated to the Jury House, I have almost lost interest in which of these people gets the money.

As a recap, here’s how things stand:

Left

Caleb Reynolds
Christine Brecht
Cody Calafiore
Derrick Levasseur
Frankie Grande
Nicole Franzel
Victoria Rafaeli

Jury

Donny Thompson
Hayden Voss
Jocasta Odom
Zach Rance

Gone

Amber Borzotra
Brittany Martinez
Devin Shepherd
Joey Van Pelt
Paola Shea

=================

Here’s how I hope they leave the house:

Frankie Grande
Christine Brecht
Caleb Reynolds
Cody Calafiore
Derrick Levasseur
Victoria Rafaeli

Nicole Franzel

By default I hope Nicole wins, and since it’s really hard to have an opinion about Victoria I just hope she outlasts the others.

Frankie is a dipshit!

======================

How would you stack them up?

I am hoping Caleb open’s “Pandora’s Box” and it will give Nicole a “Cootie Taw” (coup d’etat).

Nicole puts Frankie and Christine on the block!

But I don’t think that is going to happen. But that would have been awesome twist in their self promoted MOST TWISTED SEASON ever.

In the order I want them to leave:

Christine
Victoria
Cody
Frankie
Nicole
Caleb
Derrick

That’s basically the order that I think played the best game.

Derrick has definitely been playing the best game and I’d like to see him win. Really, though, the others should plainly see that none of them could beat him and should be trying to get him out. I’m a bit surprised no one has even mentioned putting him up yet.

Going back to last week, I’m glad America made the right choice about not rewarding Team America for the “play” they put on. Team America would have been hard-pressed to come up with a lamer, dumber mission than that.
