I like it more when there’s a “villain.” Evil Dick. Even Dan in some respects. Someone obviously playing the game alone but still able to manipulate the house enough to win. Do Cody, Caleb, Derrick and Frankie really think they don’t need to back stab each other?
Last weekend, I caught bits of Big Brother After Dark and in both of them I saw Derrick convincing someone that they’ll beat him in the end (Cody one night, Caleb the next). In addition to that, he’s regularly coaching people to do things that will hurt them in the end - for example, he convinces Victoria to be mean in the send-off videos to the evicted houseguests and then when his video comes on, it’s all “you’re a great person and I look forward to getting together outside the house.” He’s working all angles, I love it.
I’m hoping Victoria wins. Only because it would cap an otherwise boring season with a non-playing character winning the money for doing absolutely nothing, with -0- game talent and even less of a clue.
Yes, I did see him doing that one night on BBAD also. He’s a very smart player. He doesn’t have the “evil” of Dick or Dan. He seems to be an all-around nice guy. But he’s very observant and has completely managed to keep the heat off of himself. I believe at least one houseguest has “accused” him of being a cop and he even brushed that off somehow (I can’t remember what he’s told them his job is… anyone remember?).
Since I’m pretty sure the last one I even care anything about (Nicole) is going to get booted very soon, I can buy this idea. The only one of the guys I want to get to the end (and then lose) is Derrick.
Caleb blew a big chance last night. Dumbass.
I think I have figured out what “Beast Mode” means: brain of an ass. I refer you to Option 2 for further enhancements! ![]()
Isn’t tonight’s episode a double eviction?
Who do you want to be #2 out tonight?
I want Nicole to get a reprieve and Frankie to be jettisoned.
I’m afraid it will be Nicole and Victoria. Maybe it’ll be Nicole and Frankie though. I don’t see any way Nicole stays.
Tonight’s episode is another Double Eviction episode.
It promises to be a real exciting episode and I think that anyone who has had even a passing interest in this season will enjoy this episode.
Besides the Double Eviction, (according to a Julie Chen tweet),
there is something else of interest happening this evening.
Kind of spoilerish…but not really.
I’m personally not much of a Christine fan, but that fan reaction when she got evicted was totally unnecessary. They booed her like she was Aryn from last year.
If Frankie was smart, he would have pulled Christine or Victoria off the block after he would won the veto. He would have forced Derrick to expose his loyalties. Derrick would have to put either Caleb or Cody on the eviction chair.
Assuming it was Caleb, Caleb would have automatically been Frankie’s ally because Caleb would know that Derrick’s first choice was Cody and not him.
I immediately thought the booing was a comment on her snuggling up to Cody. Anything more heinous then that?
This gives Frankie way more smarts than I think he deserves. Last night proved to me how much the edits are NOT showing about the cliquish nature of these guys! The producers are playing to viewers’ sympathies and comments and not really showing how much GroupThink is going on.
I so want Victoria to win the money!
I had a similar idea during the veto competition, but then came to the conclusion that the only effect would have been to make Frankie the #1 target. So I disagree that that would have been the smart play.
My specific thought was that Frankie should have pulled Christine off, not Victoria, but the inevitable effect of that move would have been Victoria going home and then the house would be clearly divided, with Derrick/Cody/Caleb on one side and Frankie/Christine on the other.
Frankie and Christine is better than Frankie and no one. But of course Frankie doesn’t realize he is on the outs.
If Frankie pulled Christine, Derrick has to put up either Cody and Caleb and whoever (Caleb) gets put up is going to be PISSED and should become Frankie’s ally.
It would have forced Derrick to show his cards and that is something that Derrick has kept pretty close to his vest.
I disagree. I think in that scenario, the person put up would be more pissed at Frankie, not Derrick, since Frankie is the one who forced an ally to go on the block in the first place.
However, it might be moot in that I forgot that Frankie & Christine would have control of who went home, so they could just send Caleb/Cody out the door and not care if they’re pissed. That would then leave it Frankie/Christine vs Derrick/Cody/Victoria, with Derrick unable to compete for the next HoH.
So it may not have been a bad move after all. I’m unconvinced it would have been a good move, but it wouldn’t have been terrible, at least.
Good points, but this entire line of thought presupposes anybody not named Derrick actually playing the game to win.
Spoilers!
Frankie won HoH. He hasn’t nominated yet, though. HOWEVER, he screwed himself bigtime…he convinced everyone to push the Rewind button (Derrick was seriously arguing against it…because he’s not a self-absorbed idiot and has watched this show before)! I don’t think they were told what it would do. As far as they know, it started a countdown (presumably to the middle of Wednesday’s live show), but that’s all. So Frankie is going to go through the week making his big late-game HoH play and it’s all going to be negated when the countdown ends. I think I love it!
That’s the greatest thing I’ve heard all season.
It cracks me up especially because at the end of the live show Thursday, we saw Frankie yelling at Caleb: “Don’t push that button, Caleb! Don’t push it!”
