And we aren’t 8.
McCain’s “yellow line” nosedived during that one.
I can’t believe Obama didn’t get a chance to address the “they’ll fine you” charge McCain is levying.
Oh, good, maybe he’ll get to do it now.
What does a “refundable” tax credit mean?
What is this mandate stuff? What is this fine? I’ve never heard of a fine before.
yes! healthcare is a right. Finally, sense is spoken.
Good–go with the facts, Obama–they are on your side.
Thank you god–unclog our ERs and get those kids to the doctor. Yes!
Good for taking on the healthcare insurance industry.
Barack, John, this debate is making me think of a classic movie. A particular line from it, even.
Answer the question, Claire!
For God’s sake, can either of you make a token attempt to answer the question asked, without rambling off on earmarks and your mom having cancer?
My husband is snoring. Obama has gotten too wonky even for him.
I think Obama scored a point with Health Care should be a right in this very wealthy country and he got lost a little in the middle and then got a nice cheap easy point going after big insurance companies.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO. You didn’t bring up Delaware.
runs around to find CNN transcript and catch up (I can’t wait for captioning to be available and used on streaming video. )
Yeah, pretty much to McCain’s ideas for health care.
Just tuning into the thread.
I think McCain makes more sense than Obama. But I think Obama is more engaging. As I said before, I like 'em both. I wish they were on the same ticket because, quite frankly, neither VP selection can hold a candle to either of them. Especially Palin, who should just shut up already.
I cringed when Obama said that gas was $3.80 now and soon may go higher. It’s actually dropping like a stone.
Obama hit home when he said his mother was arguing with the insurance company on her deathbed about pre-existing conditions. However, as a fiscal conservative, I get wary that giving people get another entitlement will give them one less reason to actually work for a living. Because I’m sick of pulling the load for folks who don’t work, live above their means, or are just idiots.
McCain should quit making jokes. They aren’t funny.
Man, women fucking love Obama. When he started talking about the problems with going across state lines for health care, the little orange line was as high as it can get for the entire thing.
Raising the subject of Delaware and credit cards might have been a mistake.
The first thing that hit my mind was Biden.
Let’s listen to Phil Elliot. Because he matters. This format is retarded.
We went from defense to the economy in under 5 seconds. A new record.
I like how Obama just let WcCain’s fine “joke” hang in the air to stink up the place.
It was stated earlier that gas prices were quoted in Nashville.
America is the “greatest force for Good”? We’re a force, definitely… but I think there are a lot of countries that would say we haven’t always done Good.
Is McCain really stupid enough to not take a shot at Delaware and Biden? Obama left it wide open with that gaffe.
Gas shortage in Chicago. Prices for regular are higher there than most parts of the country right now.
Here in WNC, most stations are still at $3.99. He was speaking to a TN crowd.
Here are Nashville prices from today. They range from$3.61 to $3.99; calling it $3.80 isn’t an exaggeration.
