It’s not a gaffe. It’s a first year law fact that Delaware has easier incorporation laws. I learned it in my first year in grad school (MBA). No connection to Biden BTW. Just check out any company’s state of incorporation

Biden’s ugly tie to credit card companies who are based in Delaware. He voted for the tougher bankruptcy bill. I like 99% of Biden’s votes but this one was him whoring for companies in his home state.

They’re there because Delaware has loose laws controlling credit card companies, nothing to do with the ease of incorporation. Some could argue that Biden is in the card company’s hip pockets.
It’s a great question. If you want to be commander in chief of a nuclear-armed superpower I should hope you’ve put some thought into this.
