no wonder neither of them are looking at the lights.
If he says, “my friends” ONE MORE TIME, I’m going to throw a brick threw my TV tube. And that would be a shame, because my TV just got fixed.
Where can I watch a debate that has the yellow line? My girlfriend and I really want to know! We’d like to see how the audience is responding to everything.
Embarrassingly, no. I’ve been following Obama, but I’m ashamed to say I had no idea where Biden is from.
This is what makes the debates in general pointless. McCain should have been able to pounce on that, because that was a HUGE fuckup.

The rehearsed speech about “Victory in Iraq” barely registered on the CNN ticker. People aren’t all that interested in Iraq right now. In fact this entire line of questioning is getting less than half the reaction domestic economic issues did.
cnn.
Great question.
Just turned to CNN. Independants are blah about McCain, like Obama and hate Brokaw. That’s funny.
CNN. It’s not the audience, it’s a group of uncommitted voters in Ohio.
Ha ha. Yeah. I agree. The format that would take this debate to the next level is the CNN YouTube townhall debate like the ones Anderson Cooper hosted last year. Especially now that the news networks are in HD.
Calm down, my friend.
One thing I must give McCain: he makes surprisingly little mention of his son being in Iraq, even though it’s relevant.
Did you get the hair plug dig?
Health care experts think that universal health care should involve a requirement to purchase healthcare. Otherwise the young and healthy will opt out and drive up rates for the remainder of the pool.
Hillary agreed to this, responsibly. This is not part of Obama’s plan though, and he even attacked her for it during the primary.
McCain is misrepresenting Obama’s plan. Then again, Obama hasn’t ruled out mandates - it’s just not part of his current plan. So it’s clever gamesmanship and a little sleazy on McCain’s part.
(To be clear, Obama’s plan does not deliver universal health care.)
CNN. But I don’t know which channel that is on my cable service and I’m too lazy to find out. I’m on MSNBC.
At least they’re factual, concrete answers from Obama.
My friends…
What? Your hero is Ronald Reagan, not Teddy Roosevelt. How many heroes do you have?
That was an excellent question.
But on the whole, this debate is SO BORING. And I am a policy wonk.
Jesus, how many heroes does McCain have?
None of you are really drinking whenever “my friends” is said, right? I’m worried for people doing drinking games.
When they release the polls about who won the debate, it’s too bad that there will be no option for “they both lost.” This is awful. All they’re doing is rehashing things they’ve said over and over again. Is anyone learning anything? At all?
Eh? Obama said he’d enter diplomatic talks with Pakistan before any military action was taken.
