**sari **- your dog sounds like mine. Higgs will come to me several times a day when she thinks she needs a treat. Which is often!
As I was sorting the laundry a little bit ago, I noticed one bra was kinda pink-ish. Turns out the new red shirt I bought isn’t colorfast. dammit. But I have enough red and dark stuff that I can wash it without fear of pinking other garments. Stoopit cheap dye…
swampy, if yard work is therapeutic, have I got a deal for you!!! Because I care so much for you, I’ll let you do all the weeding, mulching, and mowing you need to re-track yourself. No need to thank me.
Guess I haven’t fully recovered from last weekend yet. My legs ain’t happy about last night’s run & I feel like I’m fighting the sick. I shouldn’t be all that surprised when I started the week with a 21 hr day immediately after two days with a combined 8 hrs of sleep. Can’t even sleep in this weekend as I’ve got a class tomorrow & other stuff to do on Sunday.
I haven’t been invited to any recitals today, so I can stay home and work on my music projects today. And get other stuff done, like cleaning the litter box.
Howdy all! Tis Firday finally. I considered not coming to irk today but since it’s the
weekend two days of sloth will be enough.
We had our first Air Show meeting yesterday. The show isn’t until April of 2016 but there is a huge amount of work to do for it. I will again be assigned to sell tickets for the paid seating we will have. In 2013, when we had the last show, I did the same job. We will have picnic tables set up on the front line of the flightline and serve lunch and have an open bar. Those tables sell for $150 for four people and I could have sold twice as many as we had so we are going to up that number. We will have what we call box seating which is just a chair in an area in a good spot. I think we had 300 of those for $15 and bleacher seating which sells for $5. My office number will be on the website so I get to answer all the questions and help ppl who are not computer savvy enough to manage the website. I was very surprised to find out in 2013 that there are still lots of folks who do not have a computer.
The Budweiser Clydesdale’s will be here again we are 90% sure. Last time we had record numbers of attendees. Something like 90,000 the first day and probably half that the next day. Everyone who works the thing gets a bad sunburn even with a tent and sunscreen with the sun bouncing off the tarmac. Fun times. I love my job.
**sari **- I hate figuring out window coverings. We’ve got simple cotton/poly blend rod-pocket curtains in our bedroom. We used to have mini-blinds, but those things are a booger to keep clean, so never again. I need to redo the curtains/whatever around the bow window in the living room, and I don’t know what I want there. I just know the ones we have are sad-looking.
Have the meatballs for lunch and the omelette for supper!
As for post surgery, I recommend a beach in the Caribbean! You’re welcome.
Last load is in the washer. I need to go buy bandaids - I guess when all the laundry is done, I can do that. And I don’t know what to do for lunch either. I did PB&J for breakfast, so I don’t want another sammich. I’ll figure out something.
{{{Swampy}}} Work can wait. Health, mental and otherwise, cannot. So glad you are taking this time when you need it.
Ahhhh Lost Wages. So jealous right now! You can keep the hotel room; I just want the warmth and the view of the mountains (the rock kind; get yer mind out of the gutter).
Getting my virtual New Orleans in gear with some beer and Lazy Girl Jambalaya after work. Laissez les bon temps rouler!
That reminds me of an episode of Cops I saw once. The police were looking for this guy who was hiding in some lady’s house. When they went into the bedroom the mattress was halfway up off the boxspring because the guy was under it. Bless his heart, he thought he was hiding.
I just had an epiphany why Swampy has had such a rough time with his personal crisis, and the nature of the crisis explains all.
Swampster realized that he actually LIKES Brussel sprouts, and he was down to 6 rolls of TP in the closet.
The actual nature of the crisis is none of our business until such time as you tell us. That won’t stop us from giving you a hard time, because, well, that’s what MMPers do.
Yanno, BBBobbio, I never considered the TP option. I figured maybe he saw someone wearing white before Memorial Day and it was too much! Or perhaps OYKW was drinking tea without extending his pinkie…
I just love the one hospital bill I get.
They send it out so late, I just got the bill today and it’s due Moonday,
I already paid it though because I hold on to the previous bill each month.
However, I’d better call them to make sure the last payment was credited properly.
I’ll get it paid down a little more then pay it off.
**Spidey ** it sounds like Doggio makes some delicious dinners but I doubt he wants me to show up in pain with a kid and dog.
My mother wants me to stay with her, two friends have invited me to stay with them, I want to come home. Nobody thinks that is a good idea but me.
I’ll talk to the doctor, but he already told me it’s four days in the hospital and two weeks of no driving and no stairs.
sari, If you’re having the same girly surgery as I did last fall, try to get approved for laproscopic (Mooom was right about that being the way to go). My recuperation time was much less that Sis’ was with the traditional kind a couple of months earlier. If your son can drive and your bathroom is on the ground floor, you may well be better off at home. I stayed with my SIL and let my chef of a nephew cook and chauffer me for a couple of weeks.
I doesn’t look like I’ll get out too early today, but at least I’m busy.
Oh look, the internet has decided to work on my music-work laptop again! Goodbye, productivity.
Well, I have been getting work done.
Gonna wait for the clothes dryer to finish and the go blow the alto licorice stick.
