The accentless MMP

Yeah, it’s starting to show up on my Twitter feed.

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

So much for the rain leaving overnight - it’s still coming down. Not a lot, but falling nonetheless. However, the car show is on - it’s supposed to clear up and get all sunny and stuff. So we shall see.

Apart from tending to the critters, I emptied, then refilled the dishwasher. I just couldn’t make myself do it last night. But now it’s done. Yay.

Maybe some studio time today. Other than that, no plans.

Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 65 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 88 and sunny for the day. Plans include deheathenization, N.O.L. (all I need to do is warm it up and bake some rolls), and well, we’ll see. I may begin spiffin’ up da cave as it needs defilthyfyin’.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence at some point I reckon.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

I had two goals this month: make some progress on my cross-stitch and and finish up my fanfiction story. Neither one of those things is going to happen in the next four days. I messed up the pink petal skirt on my cross-stitch and spent most of last night ripping it out; I went back to add more significant looks and accidental hand-brushings to my fanfiction story and I’m in the most important section for the developing relationship so I need to take a bit more time with it.

But hey, at least I’m farther along now than I was at the end of March. Yay small victories!

BigKitty indeed, yay for small victories. I am remindin’ myself of that a lot lately.

In other news, I had some strawberry yogurt into which I sliced a 'nanner. I toasted a bagel and slathered it with a generous schmeer. It was like the best brekkie evah! I must have really wanted that combo of comestibles.

Up and caffeinating. I’ll likely work on a project in the studio before heading off to choir practice this afternoon. This month’s selection is True Colors.

The musician last night covered some Bob Dylan and Judy Carnes, but most of her performance was of originals. She was a very talented young woman.

Missred, what voice type are you?

Speaking of singing, another of my friends is singing in a recital today. I’ll be heading off there this afternoon.

Back from downtown Leonardtown. We had a nice breakfast (from a limited menu - they do that for events) then walked around for a couple of hours. Lots of different kinds of cars, and more arriving as we were leaving. Only one had a rumble seat - that surprised me. Lots of Chevelles (my first car was a '67 Chevelle, but that was back in 1975, so I don’t remember a lot about it.) There were even a couple of old wooden Fords - like bodies and wheel spokes were wood! What I didn’t get were the modern cars - like less than 10 years old. Sure, that shiny new 'Vette is purdy, but I’d rather see one from the early 60s.

Anyway, the weather cleared nicely and we strolled at a leisurely pace, occasionally chatting with car owners. But now we’re home, relaxing. I’ll change into grubbies and head to my studio in a bit. For now, I just want to chill.

Judy Carnes? Wasn’t she on Laugh-In?

Ooooh, old cars. I love this time of year when people start getting their collector cars out and taking them for a spin on the curvy mountain roads. And then there are the people getting their Porsches out. I was behind a one of those at a stoplight yesterday and I was shocked to see that the driver was **not **wearing a bag over his head.

****MOOOOMMMMMM my first car was a 1969 Chevelle in 1975 too.

We are just being lazy today so far. I do need to give King Louie a bath today and there is always laundry and cleaning to do. Also, my car needs washing but that may not happen as it hot out.

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated, had N.O.L. and I have somewhat spiffed up da cave. I say that’s enough for one day. Ima go meet OYKW at his place in a while. We shall dine at that paragon of gourmet dinin’ known as Three Squares Diner. Then, I shall make a visit to the grocery sto’ for vittles. I figure Sunday evenin’ ought not be to taxin’ for a visit to the sto’.

Poor King Louie! Or maybe not. For all I know he likes to be bathed.

And I just made 5 more pots - 2 closed, 3 open, all will become animals or monsters. They need to dry out a bit before I add feet and tails and wings and eyes and scales and whatever I decided they need. With luck, I’ll do the initial firing in 3 weeks. We shall see.

King Louie likes a bath once he is getting it but will hide when he knows it’s time. Silly little dog.

Sloth has been the order of the day but I must do a few things around the house. I need to change my sheets and get some laundry going. I need to figure out what we will have for dinner and get that started. I’m thinking something easy like maybe burgers.

Emily, I sing a low alto or tenor. In a women’s quartet, I’m usually the bass, in women’s choir, tenor. Since we’re doing mixed choir this month, I’ll either sing second alto or tenor, depending on which guys perform with us.

Mooom, while my fingers typed Judy Carnes, my mind meant Joni Mitchell. :smack:

So i got out of work at 4:00, it was dark cloudy and gray. I’m not sure if it’s April 26th or November 26th.:dubious:

Butters, one of my dream cars is a 1969 SS 396 Chevelle.

**doggio **- I’m pretty sure I saw your dream call today.

We did not go for fine dininin’. Instead we went to Waffle House. Fine by me cause I lurve the cheesey aigs, bacon, grits, and raisin toast combo they have. Afterwards we went to the grocery sto’. OYKW came back to da cave for the evenin’ because he just cannot stand to not be in my presence. Ok, there’s leftover peach cobbler. Same thing.

Butters I had a cocker spaniel named Jake AKA Beau Beau. I never bathed him in the bathtub, as I have a deep sink in the laundry room. If he heard water runnin’ in the bathroom he would hide. He wouldn’t hide if he heard water runnin’ in the laundry room. He had his reason for not fearin’ water in the laundry room. His treats were kept in a cabinet above the dryer so laundry room meant goodies.

Hey now, Waffle House is too fine dining! What kind of a Southerner are you? :dubious:

I planted part of my herb garden today. So far it looks like the slugs are enjoying the IPA I put out for them more than leaves. Enjoy it, little slugs. It’s there for you to drown in.

Waffle House is for fightin’

You wasted IPA, when there’s an ocean of crappy Bud to leave out?:dubious: Bless your heart.*

*Unless the slugs got spoiled by all the good beer in Ashville, then I understand upping your bait.
