I wonder how the donors feel about giving money to a PAC that turns around and pays an incompetent lawyer to do a terrible job and end up with a penalty around 8 times larger than the plaintiff was asking for?

If you’re bought into the Trump As Victim trope, then you’re gleefully writing checks in the same way as the people who fund televangelists do.
And I’d guess the Venn Diagram of the two cohorts has significant overlap.
There’s also the darker possibility that they, the victims, failed to check the appropriate boxes and are being systematically bled each and every month. Since they’re not part of the 2% dementia genius group, the losses are too hard to figure out.

Habba’s performance in the trial brought tears of laughter to my eyes.
