The Amazing Race 11/14

We got engaged 6 months after we met, and married 4 months later. We’re going to celebrate our 7th anniversary in February. Sometimes you just know!

I suspect most everyone who gets engaged “knows.” Whether or not that assessment is actually true is what’s to be determined.

But this is really a topic for another thread…

Things I liked:
Oman. I barely knew it existed before this episode, now I want to go there. Gorgeous scenery, friendly people (even the po-po!)
Thomas totally owning the mistake rather than blaming Jill for it. That did a lot to redeem him in my eyes. I can understand them being upset about being second, but he immediately took the blame.
The proposal. I’m a sap. Chances are they get eliminated next week–isn’t that what happened to the Globetrotters the week after they finished first on Flight Time’s birthday?
Vicki totally rocking yet another physical Roadblock. She may be the most physically competent female racer ever, and could probably beat a good portion of the men.

Things I didn’t like:
The elimination. I was hoping for a non-elim on this leg, because the two teams fighting it out for last were on my list of favorites. In the end, I’m glad it wasn’t the doctors.
The detour. The obvious choice was also the boring one.
