I’ve been under the radar this week due to … well, old age, mostly, and also far too much work for what I am getting paid, but I am popping in to say the following: “Boo ugly Yield-related catfights! Hooray beer!”
Also, regarding the All-Stars spoilers: Boo, boo, boo, boo, BOO! I might not even watch, because if there is one thing the world does NOT need, it’s more of Rob & Amber. Gaaaaah. (Especially because they have another show that’s supposed to be coming on in January, on Fox Reality.)
Now, Colin & Christie? I’d like to see them again, actually. (Did you just hear that popping sound? That was my head exploding. But the truth is what it is.)

Jill & Jon Vito isn’t based on actual recognition, but simply on “huge guy with tiny little blond woman.” So it might not be them. Although I certainly hope it is! I’ve also heard rumors that Cha Cha Cha is on, which would be fabulous!
rockle, I’ve asked a mod to please spoilerbox your last two paragraphs – while lots of us want to know who is or isn’t on TARRR (TAR Return of the Racers is what they’re calling it, apparently, not TARAS), there are those who might want to stay unspoilered.
When Colin & Christie got to their final city, Dallas, they’d called ahead and arranged to have a car and driver waiting for them at the airport. The driver’s name was Earl, and when they got stuck in heavy rush our traffic between Dallas and Fort Worth, in order to help them get to the finish line location first he actually cruised on the shoulder for a while.
Of course, what they didn’t know us but was reported in later interviews was that they also got a flat tire, which delayed them for 15-20 minutes, long enough to prevent them from coming in first. They truly were kickass racers, though, even if I couldn’t stand them.
So the long-speculated TARRR is finally going to happen…I hope they include the Rednecks from TAR7, although that’s a longshot. Too bad the Hippies aren’t in it, although it’s probably best if they don’t include any past winners…
The last 3 teams in light strand’s spoiler seem kinda meh – not that there’s anything wrong with them, they’re just boring!! I’m not thrilled about seeing Rob & Amber again, though I guess that was inevitable. And they BETTER have the Guidos, Cha Cha Cha, and Derek & Drew from season 1 – otherwise it’s not a real All-Stars race!!!
Derek and Drew were the twins from season 4. You mean Kevin and Drew (which is who I meant when I said “Drew and Boyd”).
I’m wondering if maybe there should be a separate thread for this upcoming event so that those who want to be spoiled can spoiler to their heart’s content and those who don’t, don’t have to worry about it?
I’m so sorry – I didn’t spoiler my comments because of Barbarian’s earlier post, and also because I am a doofus, obviously. (I told you I was overworked.) I thought my comments counted as “speculation,” but I can see that I am wrong, as per usual. Thanks for reporting the post. Sorry, I suck today.
