Was it my imagination or were a lot of the groups leaving their bags at the cabs during the task. I thought unofficial rule #1 was Always Take Your Bags With You.
I was thinking a lot of the cabs were screwing the contestants but someone else mentioned that the two teams had the same cab all day.
It wasn’t just being able to throw a stick at some blocks ten feet away. The dad was useless at everything. On top of that, he kept giving up. Didn’t he even screw up the task where he raced the dogsleds and had to take a penalty lap? The dad was completely useless at anything that required strength or coordination.
My problem with the kid wasn’t that he knew his dad was useless on anything physical (he pretty much was). My problem was that every time he had a moment with a camera he let us know he knew his dad was useless.
I have to wonder (and this never seems to come up during our “read the clue” posts), would Michael and Kevin not lost if they followed the directions? I had a hard time keeping track of everyone, but if they walked the second time instead of taking a cab, they probably would’ve been pretty far behind. Especially since the dad can’t really jog or anything.
By the way, would you care to speculate on how I would have done on the Roadblock task, seeing as you called out my Mad Bowling Skillz in another thread?
From a few of the middle episodes, we know that there are “bag-drop off” points occasionally where TAR crew members will take care of the bags/fanny packs for you. If you drop them anywhere other than those drop-off points, you’re SOL.
“A Detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its own pros and cons. In this Detour, teams have to choose between monitoring two activities, each of which requires constant vigilance. The choice; Paint Dry, or Grass Grow.”
Well, if we’d been racing, clearly I’d have done this Roadblock. How are you at climbing ropes hanging from bridges?
