Well, this was an easy one to tabulate. Since the lowest anyone predicted Chris Sligh would finish was seventh, everyone gets to be a loser this week!

Omega Glory and vivalostwages each picked that Haley would get booted last week. Being off by a week gives them each one “close enough” point.

Just need to put in a note for this week’s update. Because of last week’s non-elimination, we’re going to have to make an update to this week’s rules. Here’s how we’ll work it:
Hopefully, when they eliminate the bottom two tomorrow night, they will come right out and say “[Contestant A] is the lowest vote-getter, and [Contestant B] is the second-lowest vote-getter”. If that is the case, then “Contestant A” will be regarded as the Week 6 elimination and “Contestant B” will be regarded as the Week 5 elimination. We’ll be able to play this as if there was nothing out of the ordinary last week.
Picking either one of the eliminated contestants in either the #6 or #5 slot will net you two points. Since we can’t say if you were right on or one week off, we’ll split the difference between the three points and one point.

Ok, since they didn’t announce who finished 6th and who finished 5th, we’re going to have to go with the backup plan. And because of that, we had a whole lot of people get on the scoreboard this week:

Wow, looking at my list now, I’m only surprised at how low I had Jordin, even though everyone else seemed equally fooled by the Chris factor and had one or both of them higher.
And I still miss Gina, sigh.
No points. I still have a chance for points though. Looking back on my list, I am struck by how far up I had Stephanie Edwards when now I can’t even remember what she looks like and have no recollection of anything she sang.
I’ll share one of my points with you BigG and then we’ll be tied with the other three one-pointers.
I’m still hoping for a few more points.

Hitting the 4th place elimination dead-on and grabbing up two points were koeeoaddi, Diogenes the Cynic and Nutty Bunny.
Getting the “off by one week” one point were Hal Briston, Sam Stone, vivalostwages, Reloy3, yellowval, micahjn, xnylder, Pleonast, Omega Glory and Tangent.
That leaves our leaderboard looking like this:

It’s going to be an interesting one these next two weeks. Both koeeoaddi and Diogenes have a chance at picking up turkey bonus points next week. In addition, there are the big bonus points for picking the overall winner. Of course, since nearly everyone picked Melinda to win, those may well pretty much cancel out almost across the board.
In fact, the player poised to make the biggest leap is Tangent. He’s the only player left who correctly picked the Top Three, and if they go out in the order he predicted, then he’ll win this by a thoroughly disgusting margin (it doesn’t help matters that I’m actively rooting for his prediction to come true).
Also, Tangent and DanBlather are the only players left who can possibly get any points out of Jordin, since most of the rest of us seem to have decided that she was a pleasant, but unremarkable singer. Ahh, we were so young and foolish then.
As I said before, next season I’m going to make up my list, then do some reshuffling. Maybe that way I’ll score more points.
At this point, I won’t be suprised by any of the possible final placements, but I’m not real confident in Blake winning the top spot for me. If I had to make a prediction right now, I’d say Blake is out next with Melinda finishing in second place and Jordin winning it all.
Damn it! I may have to actually start phoning in some votes.
I tried voting for Jordin this week (since I’m over Blake) and on both of her numbers, all I got for 45 minutes was “All circuits are busy”. I tried one of Blake’s numbers and got that, too. Since Ryan said there were 45 million votes and they were spread among 8 numbers, I’m not surprised.
