So now you’re irate – livid, even – because someone thinks your belief is misguided.
Sheesh. Overreact much?
You can have the last word on this issue, as far as I’m concerned. I think your words pretty much speak for themselves now.

:smack: I did mean you, masonite! :smack:
I’m still pissed at Rob for taking credit for the Crustacion Nation!
Where are you getting “irate” or “livid”? I just don’t like being called misguided because I disagree with someone, a certain someone who can’t drop the subject. Maybe it’s you who is all worked up, but it sure ain’t me. I am not feeling any strong emotions either about you, your snottiness, Jenn, Kelly, or *The Apprentice * in general. I just want to cease conversing with you on this subject because things are getting out of hand. I don’t want the last word because there’s nothing more to argue about. OK?
If you two don’t take this to the Pit, I’ll take you both there.
Peace or Pit, you decide.
I can’t think of anything stupider to go to the Pit about. Really, don’t worry moriah, it’s over. I tried to change the subject and I’ll try again:
Of the fired apprentices, who do you wish could have won? I know last year, a lot of people felt that Troy was the best candidate and ought to have prevailed despite his lack of formal education. The Donald agreed and sent him to school. This year, is there anyone likable enough to warrant that kind of fan support? I liked Kevin a lot until the end, when he became part of the Unholy Trinity. I think he’s basically a decent guy who maybe lacked direction. Sandy was also a surprise for me, and maybe she could make an executive with some formal training.
Anyone else? Maybe an early firee? This batch of apprentices really has nothing on last year’s. Eh. I think in some alternate universe, the final two are Pamela and Bradford…
I wanted to see more of Rob. If I remember right, he was the first one fired, and the complaint about him was that he didn’t “put himself out there.”
He came back when the teams were remodeling houses, and he was enthusiastic and helpful.
I guess there’s something to be said for hitting the ground running, but on the other hand, it makes sense to take some time to get to know your teammates, and figure out how you’d fit in. Of course that means you have to think of yourself as a team member, rather than a Survivor. Apparently Rob didn’t do that.
I wonder how much time they spend together before the first task is assigned. Anyone know?
This has been a pretty charm-free season overall – there really haven’t been a lot of people I’ve liked as people. (Raj, for a while, before I realized that the facade was unironic.) They’re going to have to do a much better job picking contestants next season if they don’t want to drive off their fan base.
I would like to have seen more of Bradford – in retrospect, his firing was the first sign that this season was going to go seriously awry.
I can’t think of any of them I really liked other than maybe Sandy, Kevin and Elizabeth.
But I think of those, only Kevin was a serious contender.
But I don’t care if the person I LIKE is the winner. I’d prefer the qualified person (I consider Kelly to be just that) to win rather than likeable.
In the perfect world you get both, but there are so few of us.
Was there no one rooting for boy wonder Andy?
Also, did anyone else catch the E! True Hollywood Story of The Apprentice?
I liked Andy!
I’m not sure who I would put in the final two. Maybe Pamela although I didn’t really see too much of her other than her two PM tasks. From what I saw, she seemed sharp (even though she was a bit abrasive). I still think she got screwed by being forced over to the women’s team as PM.
I thought Kevin deserved to be in the final two. I hate that all this stuff about his previous experience/resume came up in the interviews in the 2nd to last episode. If that was a problem, he shouldn’t have been on the show in the first place. I can see how lack of focus would be an issue when hiring someone in real life. However, when I watch a competitive TV show, I want to see the winner decided based on what I’ve seen on that show.
Sandy and Andy both won me over (although I didn’t like them at the start). Neither one could realistically head a major company though. I think they have good instincts, but I doubt either would get a lot of respect from the business veterans they’d be expected to lead. Even so, they both seemed more like “apprentices” to me. When I think of an apprentice, I think of someone with a lot of potential who only needs polishing and mentoring. Someone like Kelly seems beyond that. Then again, the job is supposed to be heading a company which doesn’t seem like an apprentice-type position anyway.
I rooted for Andy until he handed out cash and let the pizza get cold – that’s no way to treat people. It was dismissive and disrespectful and snotty immature and thoughtless. Think about what motivates you, for pete’s sake.
I guess he panicked.
Hmmm. E! True Hollywood Story’s interview of contestants from season one indicated the producers liked to keep them underfed and sleep deprived to spice things up. Perhaps Andy got his ideas from the producers?
I kinda felt sorry for him. I knew he couldn’t win and eventually would be bowled over by someone more intimidating, which is exactly what happened. I just didn’t expect that someone to be Sandy. I thought he really showed his age when he was handing out $100 bills. I felt like maybe he saw his granddad do that at the resort to get a good table and decided to try it. That was embarrassing. Poor kid. I think he’ll be all right in the long run.
I did! It was pretty interesting. They were saying that they were deprived of food and given lots of alcohol and no sleep. They also mentioned that the walls were paper thin and they were drunk, starved, sleep-deprived and up in each other’s grills 24/7. That’s when idiotic things were said and all the cattiness came out. Of course the producers denied it, but it seems true in light of some of the nonsense we see. I’d like to think the duress is bringing out the worst in these people, and that they’re not all so devoid of charm and merit as they seem.
Rubystreak, I totally agree on Andy–even down to the grandad thing. I was thinking just the same way!
That’s interesting about the no food and lots of alcohol. I have noticed during the show that the wine seems to be flowing pretty freely. I kept thinking that if I had to get up early every morning and work on all those tasks (frequently throughout the night), I’d be staying away from the wine! I didn’t think that they may be hungry too!
