The Apprentice -- Season Three Premiere

The heavyset project manager. I find his pep talk’s to be insincere backslapping. I guess it’s pretty subjective, though. My first impressions are often wrong (I thought Danny would be off-beat and cool but it turns out he’s just annoying).

Danny is clueless and annoying; however, Todd the PM didn’t get trained, didn’t get the scheduling right, was useless behind the counter, and generally failed at leading his team. I’d boot him, except that he is such hot eye candy that I want him to stick around.

Although I’m a college graduate, I’m rooting for Net Worth because they seem more together, harder-working, and generally more appealing than the college team is.

John’s appreciation felt sincere to me.

I guess Danny didn’t scare people away after all – looks like they had more customers than they could handle.

Not much $$ difference between the two teams.

Todd (Magna’s leader) should have taken a few minutes to train for something so he could help out in a pinch.

That’s a good point about Todd. Fast food work is not neurosurgery. You train somebody on a fry station in like 30 seconds Burgers in five minutes. He was lazy.

Uh oh. Did Danny just call George and Carolyn clones?

Debating Danny’s clothing? Come on, guys, it’s not like he’s wearing a Speedo. There is no problem here.

Carolyn likes a woman! Woo!

Sorry, Pam, I liked Erin’s answers.

Erin made my Makes Me Ashamed to Be Female List when she threw herself crying on Todd’s bed.

I liked the answers from the woman who said a good manager would have reined Danny in, kept him in check.

I’m not ready to see Danny go, but it doesn’t look good.

Hmmmm…all may not be lost for Danny.

I’ll bet that’s the surprise of his life. Can’t wait to see the looks on Magna’s faces when Danny comes back. :stuck_out_tongue:

DAMN! Yes, Todd deserved to go, but he’s too handsome to fire!

Sorry to be so mouthy, but I’ll bet Todd looked at what Danny was doing outside BK and saw a scapegoat in the making, rather than a potential problem that needed to be addressed.

My sympathies, gobear.

Did Trump just actually think out a decision and weigh the pros and cons instead of twitching impulsively?

So will Danny be able to rein himself in, or will he continue to be a loose cannon? If so, he won’t last long. I agree that this task was Todd’s fault for poor leadership…

It was a little unexpected but I think it was a clearly defensible decision…not like one of the stunt firings of last season.

What was the woman’s name who held out to fire Todd? I think she impressed Carolyn and that’s no small thing.

Nope, I think you’re exactly right. They also knew what they wanted to say when they went and talked to the BK guy, unlike Magna – which, again, was Todd’s fault, since he just sent them off to get rid of them, apparently.

Kendra – that was pretty brave.

I think that’s a good insight. That happened a lot last season too. People were formulating their exit strategies rather than working on winning the tasks.

That reminds me of when Nancy Kerrigan got nailed right before the competition. I was in Waterloo visiting my mom and saw a news story - “Nancy Kerrigan was hit in the knee - a local man was rinkside! Let’s hear what he has to say…”

And dammit … I had Todd in the work pool. Dammit.

Does anyone see Danny trying to dress more business-like next time?
