I forgot to add - make sure you squeeze your butt cheeks tight as you stand back up
Damn. Forgot to mention in my previous post that the big advantage of the exercise I suggested is that the quads are NOT worked, as in most other glute exercises (including squats and lunges). If you want to work your quads while you’re at it you may consider that a drawback, but if you want to isolate your glutes that’s as good as it gets (you can work your ass with lotsa weight without getting thighs like tree trunks).
