The best TV Series you've (probably) never heard of.

Live Action Sailor Moon…no wait, don’t run away. I know what your thinking. “Sailor Moon’s that anime for girls.” But believe me the live action series is so much better than the cartoon. I just wish it was available in the US so that everybody could watch it.

Ever seen Brimstone?

Thought not.

I was the other guy who watched that.

John Glover = Best. TV Devil. Ever.

Probe

Clone High and Undergrads.

You are, quite literally, the very first person I’ve ever encountered, Sailor Moon fan or no, to say that.

Live action sailor moon mentioned above, fansite linked below:

Umm…

Wow.

I love Japan.

Clone high was awesome, I really wish it had stuck around for longer. Undergrads was…decent.

Anyone ever see Gary and Mike? It was a claymation cartoon from the creators of Celecrity Deathmatch about two guys on a cross country road trip, going where ever adventure took them. I wish Comedy Central still played the reruns.

They’re so damned cute!

Ladies and Gentlemen… I give you…The War Next Door

I know other people have seen Weird Science, I just don’t think they appreciated it like I do.

The Games

It’s an Australian comedy, done in the style of a hand-held-camera documentary, set in the offices of the organizers of the Sydney Olympics. The tone is somewhere in between British and American humor; deadpan but sarcastic. Our intrepid heroes grapple with such pressing issues as:

Is it alright if the 100-meters track is “about 100 metres” long?
Will genetically modified horses be allowed in the equestrian events?
Would anybody notice if we just didn’t hold the fencing?

Mr. Show with Bob and David

I loved that show. I didn’t have HBO the whole time it ran, so I’ve never seen all of them.

I remember that one! It was on USA with that crazy show about Arizona.

The thing that bugged me about “War Next Door” was that it was supposed to be like Spy vs. Spy, but the bad guy never won. Took the fun out of the whole thing.

Men Into Space – I only vaguely remember watching this in its first run as a kid. It was on CBS in 1959 and 1960. To my knowledge it has never been syndicated, repeated, retrospectived, or released on laserdisc, VHS, Beta, or DVD. Even books on obscure TV or on science fiction TV shows barely mention it. I’ve never seen an episode listing in print, although in recent years I have seen them on the 'net.
Hard-core science fiction show about the Aitr Force taking the first stepd into space. No aliens or impossible techn ology. Jerome Bixby (“It’s a Good Life”, “It! The Terror from Beyond Space”, “Fantastic Voyage”) was one of the writers. Nominated for a Hugo:

I wrote too soon – this guy has DVDs, but I’ll bet they’re graymarket:

The Best. TV. Show. Ever.: the first season of Murder One: Daniel Benzali, Stanley Tucci, Patricia Clarkson, Jason Gedrick.

Recently watched the whole first season with a friend, and it totally holds up.

Saw it twice and both times was the same “Road Rash” episode. Isn’t that the way it always is?

Laughed quite a bit, though.

Anyone besides me over watch “The Job” with Denis Leary? One of the funniest shows ever. And I think I’m the only one who ever watched it.

Yeah! I remember Gary and Mike! I saw an episode or two and really liked it. I also remember The War Next Door, though I never saw it.

Speaking of shows on USA, anyone remember G vs. E?

And *Cat Fight, I LOVED the Weird Science TV show.
