Yeah…even just the possibility of her making more money than him (in the ep where she gets her doctorate: “they’re going to pay me a buttload of money!”) was a roadblock for him.
When they first met, didn’t Howard crack a terrible joke about how she could study him, because he’s a tiny living thing?
The “respect” he’d get from Sheldon would probably be a grudging acknowledgement like “I suppose you’re a competent plumber” or “I’ll know who to call if my toilet gets clogged”.
Yep. She didn’t get it. And my thought was ‘telling her you’re tiny is not the best way to pick up a chick, Howie.’
I heard that once during an actual shuttle mission, the outflow of the toilet aboard it (not the one on the ISS) iced up. Someone had to use the Canadian robotic arm to whack at the icy buildup to clear it. (This was explained to me as a reason that we were forbidden from making any changes to the simulator during a mission. Because any activity on the actual shuttle, even whacking at icy buildup on the plumbing would first need to be tested and perfected on the simulator.)
I’d like to see them drop the astronaut storyline altogether and then we collectively pretend they never started down such a terribly stupid path.
Wouldn’t it be cool for Amy & Sheldon to make music together? What could possibly be nerdier than a harp and bongo duet?

Or complete it so that they can use it for Howard defending his knowledge against Sheldon.
Sheldon: Howard you only have a Master’s degree, let’s leave this to the real scientists
Howard: Ugh…I went into space!
Sheldon: Oh please, they let monkeys into space, I don’t think their standards are that particularly high
Bravo! That exchange would fit in perfectly.

I’d rather see Sheldon on the Theremin

Bravo! That exchange would fit in perfectly.
Thanks
