The Big Bang Theory, Episode 618: "The Contractual Obligation Implementation"

I was disappointed that they didn’t think of the obvious solution until the end of the episode.

It was really bizarre that the university didn’t bother assigning any women to the comittee on women in science, but the payoff was made up for it. Though I would’ve killed to see Leslie Winkle in the classroom too. Bernadette works for a pharmacutical company, but does Amy actually work at the same university as the guys or a different one? Loved Amy as Snow White, begging Sheldon to kiss her. Which princess was Penny supposed to be? Also are princess makeovers a real thing at Disneyland? :dubious:

It is assumed that Amy works at UCLA, while it has been established that the guys work at Cal Tech.

Penny was Sleeping Beauty.

Apparently Penny has fucked most of the men in the free world.

How did the guys figure out the women went to Disneyland? BTW, I’m a Mulan or Pocahontas guy myself. :stuck_out_tongue:

What does the episode title refer to? Did they have to do the Women In Science as a contractual obligation? Or was it an in-joke reference to the show mentioning Disneyland somehow?

I am not reading this thread because I haven’t seen this episode yet. Except for a very few seconds and those seconds were the best television I’ve seen all week. That was Bernadette to Penny, “Come at me. See what happens.”

Leonard said at the begining that their contracts required them to be on a university committiee so he got on the one to increase women in science.

Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette was full of anachronistic references. I can’t recall if there’s any musical element, though.

I have not actually seen the show so I am not sure how it was presented but yes, princess makeovers are a real thing. I do believe that they only do them for children 12 and under though.

They are done at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland at Disneyland and Disney World as well as a location in Downtown Disney.

According to my wife, Penny was Princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty. Loved Howard’s little Prince Charming prance. Also loved Sheldon’s encouraging talk where he tells the girls they can wind up like Madame Curie.

Oh crap, wrong thread.

(Bolding mine)

Sadly, no. I personally know more than one adult woman who has gone through them. One didn’t even have a little girl with her. (She also spent the day parading around the Magic kingdom is a slutty Tinkerbell costume. She was…not well)

“Heard ya the first time, babe.”

I’m going to save that line for when I feel like sleeping on the couch!

They knew the girls were at Disneyland because they called them to talk to the students. I’m sure it came up in conversation.

I was kind of surprised that a CBS show referenced Disneyland like that, given that ABC is owned by Disney. But I liked it better than a reference to a fictional theme park.

supervenusfreak happened to mention that Ru Paul’s Drag Race had a new episode later, and then the women decided to do the princess makeover, and I was struck by the idea that a Ru Paul Disney Princess Makeover would be absolutely fabulous to see happen!

Also, Full Metal Bernadette! Twice! I love when she goes feral…

So, they would have the outfit in Bernadette’s size, then.
More or less.

They’d need an extra 2 yards of cloth to let out the bust.

But not us.

I don’t understand why they can’t all be Cinderella? They must have more than one costume. And who was Penny supposed to be? And where can my wife get a dress like that?
