The Big Bang Theory, March 13, 2014 -- "The Mommy Observation"

Sorry…I was referring to Penny’s line when she was calling the beer a clue.
But I see how my comment was confusing. :smack:

Depends what you’re into, I guess; but if you couldn’t tell from the first pic that she’s a babe, you weren’t looking very hard.

What kind of trophies did Sheldon have in his room? Texas schools in the BBT universe can’t possibly give out trophies for academic achievement, can they?

I got it.

I’m glad to see them developing a healthier relationship between Sheldon and Howard. But they should have mentioned the time Howard returned home from space and found his mother schtupping his dentist.

The trophies could be for Science Fairs, Academic Decathlon, Odyssey of the Mind and stuff like that.

that’s a low blow.

Raj is socially aggressive and has displeased the group before.

Which is why they need to dump his sorry ass. Heck, Sheldon could just fire him. Then he’d be deported and they’d be free to reconfigure the group.

Yeah, I loved that! Funny!

You ARE the Kwisatz Haderach! I’ll be in MY bunk!

So the bangs aren’t a huge turn-off?

Marvellous, beyond perfection, hair in the second, but anyone know what that harness type thing is for/named ?
Sadly, to quote a great man: I’ve led a good clean — boring — life.

The worst thing about this episode is how Leonard thinks that this get together is the perfect place to discuss his relationship with Penny. How many times did everyone else want to get on with it and Leonard said, “Wait a minute…”?

It’s named a bustier. You *know *what it’s for.

They were jerks. Normal people would have said “No, we’re not playing your game”. Instead, they agreed to play it and then were sulking and complaining all the way through the game, like children. Non-jerks don’t agree to do something and then passively-aggressively bitch about it during the whole time.

I agree that they have made Raj quite pathetic, to the point of being extremely dislikable. When the series started out, Raj was a nice and friendly guy, though very shy and awkward. Now, the writers have turned him into a jerk.

I also like Stuart, but they have also turned him into someone ten times more pathetic than when he was introduced (in the first episodes, he made a sketch of Penny and got her to go out with him, if you recall)

As I mentioned earlier, I’m just watching out of inertia at this point. I hate what the writers have done to the characters.

Not likely in East Texas, unless Southeast Texas was different than Deep East Texas. The only academic achievement that I remember being recognized for was winning the FFA history contest.

I think the other poster meant the not-skirt comprised of leather and rivets, not the bustier.

Anyone else notice the gun cabinet in the hallway of Ms. Cooper’s house? Think I saw 4 long guns, but didn’t get to identify any of them.

That’s what happens when you marry a guy with a sharp nose.

Sheldon grew up near enough to Houston to be taken there to be tested to find out if he was crazy or not. NASA has their manned space facility there, it’s called the Johnson Space Center. Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle missions were controlled from there. Astronauts lived in suburbs there. Flight directors, controllers, and rocket scientists lived there too. So I can easily imagine lots of science fair types of activities happening there.

I wondered the same thing. A close look online (as close as I could get, anyway) gave me the impression they were action figures, not trophies.

Unfortunately, I agree. They were my favorite part of the show a season or two ago.
